she liked the idea that it wasn't so heavy that it ...
I was really excited to get this for my daughter, as she was looking for an audio solution that could be customized in some way to meet her moods and tastes. First off, she liked the idea that it wasn't so heavy that it would weigh down on her head when she wore them. The balance was just right for her, and she never complains even after long sessions gaming, listening to music, or watching YouTube.Another feature she wanted was to be able to have as little outside noise as possible bleeding in. For the most part, this headset can offer just that (and to our chagrin, does give her the opportunity to completely block out the outside world...especially when we are trying to get her attention). I do find that it can get very loud at times, but never to the point where you would hear artifact. The ear cups are very comfortable, and don't heat up the ears. I also find that they feel durable, and stand up well to extended wear (thus far). The headset, while made of plastic, doesn't feel flimsy where one would feel like they might break it. Even so, manhandling it would lead to breakage I'm sure. The cord is of a sufficient length to reach her tower from whatever position my daughter sits in (slightly reclined in her chair or leaning forward). The big feature that gives it the "cool" factor is the RGB lighting. She has her presets set to match her moods, and the effects are rather nice looking. Using software that she can download from the manufacturer's website, the sound profile can be set as well as the color(s), changes, and effects. The one thing we really have not tested is the built in microphone, but we do like how unobtrusive it is.Overall this is a great set of ears for such a great price, and does what is needed of it.

Microphone didn't work out of box
The attached microphone didn't work out of the box. To make sure I hadn't buggered the settings somehow, I switched the plugs and the headphones themselves worked better as a microphone than the microphone itself. No, the microphone was defective out of the box.Additionally, the ear-cup covering is some horrible faux leather or something that makes my ears sweat. Not a good look for a device I'll potentially be wearing for hours and hours on end. One of the previous models (looked just like this, except without a microphone, it's what I thought I was buying, to be honest) was covered in cloth, was so much more comfortable, and sounded exceptional.Needless to say, I'm extremely disappointed. I used them for about an hour, put them back in the box, and am returning them for a completely different set. I'm leaning towards the Shure SRH145

Comfort and sound can't be beaten at this price point
These could fairly be sold at the $100-120 price point and if you buy them, you will feel like you underpaid for them. They are extremely comfortable and light so they can be worn for hours. I had the older "Diablo 3" version (which I won in a contest for free!) and wore them for a couple years for 8 hours at a time on weekends and I would honestly forget I had them on. In fact, the reason I got these was just to compare them to my old ones since they are updated and tweaked - for the better. The updates appear to increase durability without sacrificing any comfort or weight that I could notice. With regards to sound, it was this headset that made me realize what great sound can do for your gaming experience. If you are getting these just for PC, I would recommend the "Prism" version because they are now 7.1 surround and have a great downloadable audio app and a soundcard that works flawlessly, but these are great if you want an all around headset that you can plug into any 3.5mm jack device. I have used them to speak with people on my phone as well and no one has ever noticed and the microphone works great. Additionally, the ear cups are big enough to accommodate big ears without unnecessary touching. I have mainly used them with my XBox One and the sound is as good as you can expect for a headset at this price. Also, they honestly look great and they look great on. I have the "Proton Yellow" version and the yellow pops without overwhelming the look. I'm not sure what more to say, but I obviously love these things.

Good budget gaming headset
I've used this headset almost daily for about a year, and it's held its course quite well. It doesn't sit on your head too tightly, the pads are comfortable, and the RGB lighting is alright. Even though it looks a bit flimsy, it has tanked every fit of anger I've had (which isn't too often, don't worry) with minimal wear. This headset works best when playing games; this is a gaming headset, after all. The 7.1 surround is really helpful in first-person shooters. I play a ton of Overwatch, and these have saved me from sneaky flankers quite a few times. It even supports plug-and-play for consoles. Plug it into a USB port on a console, and you have full headphone and mic capability. The inclusion of a mic mute switch is very nice, however I never used it much as I have a much better microphone for my PC.I do have some gripes about them, though. This headset isn't very good for just listening to music, especially if you like bass-heavy beats. The software that comes with them does have an equalizer that you can use to adjust the frequencies, but even with the lows boosted, there's still not a lot of bass. Occasionally, some frequencies will cause a grainy feedback sound in the speakers, which is very distracting when playing a game or doing homework. The cable is kinda short for my needs, so I would get a USB extension if you're using these with a desktop or a console. The volume adjuster dial attached to the cord broke for seemingly no reason, which was a bummer because that was such a useful feature. All in all, the Siberia 350 is a great PC and console gaming headset for a relatively low price, but they're not the best for listening to music.
