The handle straight up is 40" to the top. Being 6' tall, it could be a little longer but good enough for most.

Hi Mike, I totally understand your question having lived in Florida for many years and the difference between rubber and plastic tires. These tires are made of a heavy duty plastic, however they surprisingly quiet both rolling and in making turns even when the wagon is empty. I loaded down my wagon and took it for a spin on our sidewalk that has expansion joints and took a good listen. What I heard was a quiet roll that one would expect if they were rolling a quality piece of luggage and it traveled over the expansion joints with ease. I would use it in a condo setting.
