Easier and cheaper than I expected
I'm a professional artist and photographer, but this was my first time for making cyanotypes, and it was fun and drop-dead easy, and the grandkids loved it. A little goes a LONG way; my recommendation is after you add water to the bottles, try mixing just a half teaspoon of each together in a disposable drink cup. I cut watercolor paper down to about 4x6 inches to test. The mixture is as thin as water, and a light coating does just fine; mine I coated leaving an inch or so for border. Start with 1.5 to 2 minute exposures with the sun as overhead as possible. Refine from there. Plan on your first several to be test runs to experiment with before you go crazy with the composition. There is enough here to make LOTS. Well worth the money.

Absolutely so much fun
These were great for my class!!! BUT they are definitely not accurate on how many prints are possible with the amount of chemicals. I did buckets hats (yes it is different than paper) but the chemicals did not last long at all. I did 6 hats, 2 sides (bucket hats) and that was the end of those chemicals. Yes I understand that fabric absorbs more but it STILL only did 6 hats.

Cyanotype formula
Purchased to try my hand at cyanotypes. Very good instructions on how to use. Produced very nice blue cyanotypes. A little goes a long way. I think these two bottles will last awhile. Instructions are on the bottle as well as a link to more information. Bottle says enough formula to make 65, 8 x 10 prints on paper, or 50, 8 x 10 prints on fabric.

Mix yourself!
This is a lovely product. I've done some cyanotype on fabric with this and they turned out beautifully. The bottles contain only the powder; you add the water to each one and shake before using. I went through quite a bit when using it on cotton fabric as it wicked and took a while to cover each part of the cotton.I'm not a fan of the foam brush. I think a nice watercolor brush that holds liquid would do better.
