This item comes in black. I sprayed painted it blue to match the blue accents on my Jeep Wrangler. From start to finish it took 20 minutes to uninstall the old one and install this one. You will need an 8mm socket for the old screws and a hex screwdriver for the new screws. Nice upgrade!

Now that it's on, I like the looks of this with my 7" antenna. It is NOT ready to go out of the box! Basically, it's a larger diameter than the stock cover. That means it doesn't fit in the recessed part of the body. THAT means, your antenna mount is not tight against, well, anything. It will rattle and let water in if left that way. I put some lock washers between the new cover and the antenna mount. This filled the gap and pressed the mount against the body. I also put some black RTV (it's what I had on-hand) to seal the antenna mount against the body. Not this cover, the actual antenna mount. All is good now!

This is a nice little appearance upgrade. The install was simple and took just about 10 minutes. I like the quality of the construction. It's made out of thick ABS plastic, but could easily be mistaken for milled aluminum with a textured finish. I'm actually OK with it being plastic as there is not chance for corrosion or peeling paint. Time will tell the story, but I expect it to hold up just fine and last a long time.

This is a great addition. It's strong, while aggressive, it looks good on my Jeep.Easy to install and overall really helps the look.It was shipped fast and total install was less than 30 minutes.Very happy with my new base... The look is now complete.

Love the look of this antenna mount, especially because it matches my wheels with rivets (bead lockers). The standard Jeep antenna mount was too narrow for a bullet antenna but it fit on this one perfectly.

Super easy to install. Follow the instructions and it's a breeze!!! Great reception and my original antenna that kept slapping my roof is gone!!! Installed this antenna on my 2018 JK Jeep

Paint flakes off the plastic. Have not installed yet because there are places on the piece that the paint is flaking off leaving shiny spots. Will try to repaint prior to installing.

The quality of plastic seems nice. It's pretty solid but as soon as I opened it up out of the package the paint bubbled and is now peeling all over it. So if I am to keep it I have to repaint the whole piece. I haven't installed it yet so I can't say how easy it is. Will update.
