BodySport Products Ring Cushion, Large - Color: Blue - 18" Diameter

2 weeks ago I feel on the ice outside. I fractured my tailbone, and the pain from it is excruciating. I was unable to find a *comfy* position to sit comfortably. Each time I sat up in a chair or in bed, the pain in my Tailbone made me "wince" in pain.My Dr. suggested I get a Donut/Ring/Cushion to sit on, and it may help alleviate "some" of the pain.The first foam ring I purchased was from Walgreens. And, it was a fail as it was so tiny.Then, I scoured Amazon for an appropriate Donut Cushion, and found this. I ordered it on a Friday, paid the extra $$ for Next Day shipping..and received it first thing Saturday morning.I like that it comes with a removable cover, that is washable. But, most of all I like the fact that this Donut Cushion "fit" appropriately when sitting, and really did help with some pain control.I use it in a "straight back" chair (a chair that "leans back" is a no-no for tailbone fractures). And, I use it in my bed when sitting upright.It just helps as it should, not all the pain is eased..but for what it does ~ I was able to relax a bit more & have better pain control.I would definitely recommend this Donut Cushion for anyone suffering from a Fractured Tailbone, and even a sprained one. You can also place this in your carseat when driving, and it helps give relief.***** Comfy Stars for this. :)

good value comfort

I was suffering with bed sores from sitting on the side of a hard bed each day. This cushion provided much needed relief by allowing me to sit pain-free while the meds on the bed sores did their job. Highly recommend.

I fell backwards off my porch on Sunday afternoon and landed on my back. Thanks to God, no bones were broken. Yep, and while my head and back were fine I didn't even think about my tailbone........ ouch. I went to two drug stores locally to find a 'donut ring cushion' but they only had small inflatable ones. I am a large lady and needed a better answer. I checked Amazon's and found quite a few of them. This one checked all the boxes for me. It does accommodate a large rear end (haha); I like the way it is oval shaped in that the hole runs centered from side to side (instead of the little hole in the middle); It is covered (I'm near New Orleans where it is hot and vinyl sticks to your legs). I've never seen foam cushions like this before and was not sure what it was like... however, I held my breath and ordered on Sunday evening and it arrived Tuesday morning.. Fantastic! This cushion is so incredibly comfortable. (One reviewer said that some of these are too dense, like a brick).. not this one. It's a keeper..!!

I recently had a fistulotomy surgery that left me with a large open wound that takes time to heal. Therefore, I had an awful time trying to sit and basically laid around for about a week and a half before I was comfortable enough to sit anywhere for any length of time. I am about to go back to work and (unfortunately in this case) sit most of the day, so I knew I needed something that could help me be more comfortable while I healed. I ordered the large donut cushion and when it came in, I was a little nervous because it didn't look like it would be able to do much - I'm a tall, big boned lady and needed support in the right places. This cushion has worked wonderfully for me - I was able to visit relatives during the holidays, drive without being in pain, and sit for good lengths of time. The shape is oblong so you're able to put it in a seat sideways or longways, depending on your preference - it will offer different benefits in different positions. I am so thankful for this cushion, because I hate being a slave to pain meds. I'd rather be able to sit and think clearly. :) I would highly recommend this cushion.

I fell down a flight of stairs and bruised my tail bone pretty bad. Walking hurt and sitting hurt worse. This was perfect. I didn't have to blow anything up and th firmness of the ring was just right. It is more of an oval shape, in case you are expecting it to be round. It has a machine washable cover also.I had to use for about 3 weeks before I could sit up on a chair without it. In the beginning I added an ice pack in a pillow case and placed it near the back, just on top, for added relief. You can sit on it with the longer length placed front to back or side to side, in relation to your "sitter." Whichever is more comfortable. I found both ways to work fine, depending on the chair.The price was very affordable, the material did not make me sweat and it was small enough to carry in a backpack.I

I purchased this item for a client who was suffering from decubitus on her bottom. The product is excellent and durable and we liked that it has a wider area to sit on; especially good for a female client. She felt that it was very stiff though. We were expecting a memory foam type of material and this is much, much stiffer. If you are seaking a softer feel; this is not for you. We ended up returning the item and the company had no problem with return and refund. Thanks!

I have tailbone pain and the only place I feel I can sit comfortably is on the toilet seat. So I figured that since the donut cushion is shaped like a toilet seat, it must work for me. When the donut cushion arrived and I started sitting on it, I realized it's not as comfortable as I thought it would be. Reason being the hole in the middle is too small. If the hole were bigger and more like a toilet seat, it would definitely relieve the pressure on the tailbone.
