Good joint support
The sulfate form (as opposed to HCl) works best at supporting joint lubricants.

They work!
update April, 2020. This source (Amazon) and this product have proven to be the best deal, easy to order more, and long expiration date. Good to know. Was skeptical at the good deal and great dose, so only ordered one bottle. After a few weeks on these, I know they are working as well as other glucosamine sulfate caps and are not hard to swallow. (I'm an average size female and don't like big pills or capsules...) The 750 mg. dose means it's easy to stay with 1500 mg./day as rec. by my doc. When these get low, will order more. Happy to find a good, affordable, reliable source. If you read this far, I'll add that for people with Types O and B blood, it's better not to take chondroitin. My dh and I have these types and did not get results from the mixed products. We both get good results from glucosamine sulfate alone. People w Type A blood do get results with chondroitin (for joints.)

Honestly, it's hard to review supplements.
I don't like taking supplements. It's hard to honestly say that you feel great as a result of taking them, or if it is the result of other circumstances. My chiropractor recommended I start taking Glucosamine Sulfate as opposed to other forms of Glucosamine. I don't exactly remember why, to tell you the truth. But I can say that while I've been taking this, my joints seem to feel better. I don't know if it's because of the supplements, or increased exercise as spring approached. My vet also recommended us giving Glucosamine to our 7-year-old pug dogs, and after doing some research of my own (I recommend you do your own research), we started giving this to our dogs with Greenies Pill Pockets. It works great for giving them the supplements, and our dogs seem to be responding to it positively. This is a great price for this product. Look around. Not a lot of other places to get GS at this price.

Another Doctor's Best Winner, Works Consistently Over Multiple Batches
I can't speak to all Glucosamine formulas, as I have only evaluated a few, but I have found this formula to be more effective than others I have tried. I don't know if it is because it is absorbing more efficiently or if other products, labeled for the same dose, did not actually contain as much Glucosamine as promised. What I can say is that, once again, Doctor's Best has delivered a product that has turned out to be superior to the others I have tried. I have been using it for over a year now and can say with conviction that this formula is bio-available, contains enough of the ingredient to be beneficial and has remained consistent in how it makes me feel when I take it and how it makes me feel when I miss a couple of doses. My pain is lessened and I have not needed to see the doctor for my hip in quite some time. I hope this works for you as well as it has worked for me. Good luck.

Satisfied With Results I Have Experienced
I have done a great deal of research on supplements in my 70+ years and found that Glucosamine without the chondroitin is possibly a better choice for men. Do you own research, but I have taken just the singular brand off and on because of what I have found. I will not get into the particular health issue I was experiencing that caused me to buy this product once again but suffice it to say, I will be taking it on a regular basis from here on out because I do not wish to suffer a reoccurrence of that issue. I am well satisfied with this brand and will continue to purchase it.

Good Price and Value
I've read lots of reviews about glucosamine as a stand alone treatment for arthritis, about equally pro and con. For the past year or more, I've had a lot of joint pain, and decided to try this as an adjunct to taking meloxicam. I spoke to my doctor about it, and he said to give it a try. According to him, about 30% to 40% of people see some beneficial results from using it, but that it would take about 2 months to know if it was helping. For the price, I figured it was worth a try. I cannot say with any degree of certainty that it's working, but I think that, at a minimum, it has helped relieve the aches and pains. I move better and there's almost no static pain anymore. The meloxicam is designed to stop further damage to the joint, while glucosamine is supposed to help repair it. I think it's working, but wouldn't want to swear to it. It could just be the placebo effect. At the price, it's worth a try. I take 1 capsule in the mornin and one in the evening, since the recommended dosage for most people is 1500 mg a day.
