Julian Bowen Afina Sofabed - Blue Sofa Beds

Sofa bed is great value for money. We were nervous to buy as there are no reviews but we're glad we did. Assembly was easy enough and all the parts were there. Fabric quality is great and the colour is rich. Much better than others we looked at in big sofa stores.

We have had this for a little over a month.Quality:The mechanism for the recliner is good, you pull it forward then lay it back and it turns into a bed (small double it is not really wide enough for two adults. The fabric feels nice but is easily marked.The structure is weak - the legs are at an angle so they are under strain when you sit on it. This mean that sleeping on the sofa is fine but when we sat on one side the leg completely buckled. This was an average weight person about 85-90kg and the leg bent out of the fitting. See picture.Building it:The screws and the bolts are not in any way discernible so when you go about building it there is a degree of trial and error, eventually you will get there but because the pre drilled holes are so hard to see on the inside of the base unit it makes it very difficult to assemble.After sales:Utterly useless, they have not responded to our calls to get a replacement leg, they have no interest in dealing with what is an unacceptable weakness in the product. you cannot get through to a person in their call centre and despite leaving messages they will not come back.

After 1 month I can’t even open it

Edited**** After a month the springs are now coming through material so I’ve returned the sofa bed. Very poorly made 🙁 Amazon were fantastic however. The customer service was excellent.Really poorly made, nuts & bolts missing and the delivery drivers literally threw the box! I had to drill bigger holes for the bolts to go through as they weren’t big enough. Very difficult to put together. And to return & exchange, I’d have had to wait two weeks. Wasn’t worth the hassle so I drilled it myself and bought extra bolts. Looks great but it’s rock hard.

The media could not be loaded. Very good quality sofa it looks better than the ones sold in jhon lewis for the price is a gift, if you want to use it like a bed is quite long is littel bit over 1m80 long,

After one year foam squashed.

Awful quality. Bought the sofa bed. When it arrived the box was ripped in several places and had been badly taped up, so obviously already been returned. The back of the sofa was ripped.The overall quality of the sofa didn't seem great even if you didn't take into account the rip. There was no great support or padding to the sofa seats.Am now trying to get them to come and collect their faulty goods. The customer experience is awful.
