Decent quality HD camera with a few niggles
For virtual meetings (for both work and pleasure) I previously used an older external camera along with a separate external microphone and domestic lamp as a light source. Purchasing this camera was an opportunity to consolidate those three aspects into the one device and connection along with increasing the quality of the video. In reality, it's been partially successful ... let me explain. On the plus side, the video quality is noticeably better than that of my old camera, and also better than the integral cameras on my laptops. The microphone works well, at least according to test recordings and anecdotal feedback from other meeting attendees. It is a little lacking in bass, but not too badly (although I'm used to using a high quality Zoom H1 microphone, so the comparison is perhaps a little unfair). There was an echo on test playbacks, which I improved significantly by placing some foam behind the camera with a rubber band - a bit Heath Robinson, but it works well. Re. mounting, the camera sits easily and securely on a variety of monitors. It can also sit on a flat surface and can be mounted on a tripod, which is a useful feature. On the down side, the light is temperamental. Sometimes it turns itself off (and has even been known to turn itself on!) and I've had large periods where all three light settings are very dim, like an LED light with low batteries. Even when it's working properly, the brightest setting is only really bright enough to illuminate a face close to the camera and in low ambient light. Therefore, I've concluded that the light won't be much use for me so I need to keep my domestic lamp handy! I've also noticed that, sometimes, my camera flickers when using with Microsoft Teams - it flickers in my preview and also for those on the call. This hasn't yet happened on Zoom. The flickering seems to be independent of which USB port I use and I've never experienced this with other cameras, so I'm pretty certain it's the device that's at fault. However, this happens maybe once a week, so when it happens I swap out to use my integral laptop camera for the remainder of the meeting then unplug/replug the camera some time afterwards, which seems to solve the problem until the next time it happens. As the camera provides sufficient functionality and benefits for my purposes, I've not reported it to the supplier nor considered the hassle of organising a return. That said, I'm a little sore at having spent £64.00 on it. If you want a good quality camera with decent incorporated microphone and good mounting options, go for it. It could be that my lighting and flickering problems could just be down to mine being a bad example.UPDATE: During the past two days, the light keeps flashing on and off of its own accord. Really quite annoying. :-(

You get what you pay for
This is one of those—does just well enough to not be chucked/returned—products. It does what it says on the tin, nothing less, nothing more. It’s an average quality camera on the whole, so I’ll just talk about the problems I see:- The camera has some DSP which manages the image quality. It cannot be changed, and it generally results in images which are: - overexposed—with or without the ring light/illumination in the room. - oversaturated—I constantly see myself the colour of the light in the room- The light is too feeble, if you’re sitting in a dark room, you’ll not be nearly well-lit.- The whole camera is touch sensitive (for the light)- The privacy filter you get is so ill designed it covers the status indicator (the red light indicating camera is on).If you want something that just does the job, get it. If the issues above are deal-breakers, look for a Logitech/Microsoft/Razer webcam.

Good camera, Strongly Reccomend
I use this camera for videocalling my family on my gaming pc. I find the video quality is great - the camera has auto focus (which is very good) and the ring light is useful. It's not the most powerful ring light, but enough to make a difference, especially if the lighting near your pc is dim.Overall I would strongly reccomend this camera. Even the microphone is suprisingly good! It's better than the microphone on my headset and it's way further away from my face than my headset mic is.

Great webcam at a great price
This webcam ticks all the right boxes at a very decent price. Image quality is superb with the ring light giving extra professionalism. Microphone also very good with great pickup from a comfortable distance. Privacy guard is a bit laughable being a stick on plastic slider but it still does the job (although microphone probably still active regardless). Was worried about this item due to it's lower price point but it's definitely one for those that just want a decent device for video calling.

Not a bad ring cam, middle of the
Sacrifices low light capabilities for the LED ring light. It isn’t really a ring light, there are 3 LEDs either side of the lens. It’s better than a lot of the cheaper webcams, to be fair.

Good quality picture
Good quality camera, softens your look and makes you appear brighter even when the light is not on, and having the privacy slide is useful - although strange how it is just stuck on.

Great product
Great kit, would have been ideal to have software to flip the camera around so it caters for all eventualities. All in all very reliable and great product.

Webcam with warm look.
I bought this webcam to improve lighting on my face during zoom. But the camera is so good in low light it’s not really necessary. It produces an image with a slightly orange tint that viewers feel is a warm look and is preferred. The lens cover is flimsy but overall I’m very happy with the webcam.
