I love this Spode modern transferware since it offers the traditional look of antique blue and white collectible china. It's heart-warming to know that Spode is still offering ceramics for daily use in their long history of manufacturing. The dish handles will be appreciated when serving very hot food and I trust it will work as well as any metal or glass pan and be visually far more appealing at the table.

Geesh, I REALLY started something Christmas. Since my son broke my Mom's favorite bowl, I gave this dish to her. My mother is a big fan of toile, bowls and serving dishes, and she ooo'd and aah'd over this one--before promptly reminding me of her upcoming birthday. I should be thankful, as she's over her obsession to a Royal Doulton pattern that was crazy-expensive (I'm talking teacup and saucer broke me). About the dish (I forgot, this IS a review): It's a nice, heavy piece and is perfect for serving vegetables if you cook for a crowd. My mom put it through the dishwasher and it survived her wrath ...er... the D/W's wrath. I can't remark beyond its reasonable price, gift and asthetic value but I'll add it if I get a 'report' from my mother.

Really nice baking dish and used for holiday meals and blended really good with Mom's other Blue and White collections. Could not be more pleased:)

I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet, but it's really pretty and sturdy! Dishwasher safe, too! I like the size. It will be great for my next dinner party or family dinner. If you're wondering if this would make a great gift,,, I'd say it would.

I found out that this was the serveware my niece chose. I got it for her bridal shower gift and she was thrilled. It is beautiful in person and exquisitely made!

I have the Spode Blue Italian Pasta set with the 4 pasta bowls and the large serving bowl and I wanted pieces that I could use to serve salad and bread so I purchased two of these and these are perfect! I was afraid the dish wouldn't hold much salad but it holds plenty- enough for 4 people and I ordered the matching salad servers as well. The Spode Salad bowl was way too expensive and large for every day use ( for one or two people). I'm very pleased with these dishes and use them for many things. These particular dishes are not made in England like my pasta set but I can live with that given how they were very affordable and of good quality. They are just slightly darker than my pasta set.I also purchased the cereal bowls to use for salad ( I prefer them over salad plates), the soup plates for soup, the bread and butter plates and the cake stand and dinner plates.
