The LMB Spring Finger Extension Assist provides an effective low tension assist for assisting extension at the proximal interphalangeal joint. (PIP) The product is made from spring aluminum for lightweight comfort, and is designed to provide anywhere from 8oz to 4 lbs of assistance based on the flexion angle at the joint. So if your PIP joint is demonstrating a 90 degree right angle, the product is capable of providing up to 4 lbs of extension assistance force, while at a 15 degree bend, it's capable of providing up to 8oz of force. The LMB Spring Finger Extension Assist is padded throughout for comfort and can be carefully adjusted and bent to modify the amount of tension being applied for greater comfort and tolerance.
