Good value would purchase again

Nothing is more frustrating than dealing with cars that uncouple while running the trains. Also, I don't like spending more money on changing out the couplers. I love the Walthers cars. They're a bit more pricey but its money well spent. The cars do not feel have that cheap feel and the couplers keep them connected well. I can put 30 cars together and there are zero issues with decoupling.

First and foremost these cars look great. Built well and very detailed. The only bad thing to be aware of is that you will get cars with the same exact road number if you buy multiple. Only other thing worth mention is that the dimensions list are inaccurate as far as length. The only measure 6.25” from coupler to coupler and not the 8.5” listed. Useful if buying for a wall display as I am.

This is my first Walthers Main Line model. The tank car is adequate for my immediate needs but it is not suitable for “rivet counters”. The quality is middling, with some free standing details like hazard placards are missing, and the separately applied hand rail is shiny metal. The paint job is very nice. I will look for higher quality acquisitions from Walthers or others in th future.

This appears to be an accurate rendition of a tank car of the period I model on my train layout. It runs well.
