Just can't go wrong with Timberland!
I love my new Timberland hiking boots. These were on my radar for several months before they went on sale, and I snatched them up. I'm so happy with them. I like that they are a very sturdy hiking boot that are comfortable and supportive around the ankle. They are true to size, although they do fit closely around the foot and ankle. If your feet are very wide, I would recommend sizing up half a size. One just can't go wrong with Timberland!

Love, love, love these boots!
Update (almost 9 months later):Still loving these! In general just wear them a lot. Light weight, look good and are comfortable (especially around my ankles unlike other boots I’ve had). We’ve been through another week long camping and hiking trip. Really appreciate that the tread grips well but doesn’t hold on to dirt and mud. I occasionally put mink oil on them and they are holding up well.Reviews that mentioned scuff marks-Yes, they show scuffs easily, I think it’s due to whatever type of leather it is. On mine it has become overall less noticeable. Minor and not a deal breaker for me, these are fantastic boots!Original review: Unbelievable how great these boots are! My normal size-6 1/2- was perfect. As others say, they needed almost no break in period. I ordered them last minute for a week long hiking trip. Wore them for 3 straight days to try to break them in before we left and they were comfortable from the start. Held up to rain and dew and mud. Good traction over rocky and uneven terrain. So impressed and they are so comfortable I wear them around town now that we’re back home.

Love these boots
Very comfortable. I wear size 10w and bought size 10. They fit perfectly. I was able to wear a heavy sock after a few days wearing the boot. Not sure if they are waterproof or warm in colder temps but I love these boots.

Good Boot
I read the reviews before ordering. First, the boots are cute, more girly than bulky others. The length is true to size. They are new leather so they are tight, but I walked around the house wearing 2 pair of thick socks, not comfortable, but it gave the stretch and break in needed. The next day the boots got even looser and the toe break loosened quickly. They are warm and comfortable but I wouldn't do a 5 mile hike in them. They are more cushioned than my old Timberlands which won't wear out. The grip is also good. I took a star because of the tightness and hoping they will loosen even more.UPDATE: I did do a 5+ mile hike in these and they were fine. If wearing a thick sock I would go up a half size but I found thinner socks and they work fine. The boots are warm with thin socks.

quality boots
I like this boot; however, I decided to return it because of insufficient roominess inside, a personal preference. I wear a 7.5M, and the length was perfect, but the boot felt narrower than I prefer for a medium width. I suspect if a person has wide feet it might not work at all, and for some mediums it'd probably be fine, but I personally like a tad more room to wiggle my toes. In the same order I also purchased a Columbia hiking boot, and I liked that the Columbia has a wider sole, which I think will provide more stability for me. But this Timberland boot seems to be excellent quality and could be perfect for someone other than me.

Comfortable, sturdy, waterproof
I bought these for my trip to Scotland and they did not disappoint!! I hiked strenuous, wet trails for 7 hours. My feet did not hurt ( and at 53 they do a lot..)Highly recommend

Comfortable but not very waterproof
I have been wearing these timberline Norwoods for about 8 months now. They are lightweight and very comfortable. I like them, but am disappointed in the waterproof aspect. I have applied a waterproofing bees wax twice. The other day I took my dog for a walk through about a quarter mile of wet grass and I could feel the wetness starting to seep in. It took a couple of days for the boots to dry out. I have read that other people are pleased with the waterproof properties of these boots, but that has not been my experience.

10/10
These boots are amazing. Can’t attest to how they’ll hold up over time but they feel amazing out of the box and are true to size.I can see why people are saying they are “narrow”. I usually wear wide shoes and these fit me well though, so they aren’t so narrow as to be an issue for the average foot. They also don’t look manly! Which, as a female hiker, I appreciate. They are classy and comfy. I had been wearing LL bean but their quality has failed in recent years. My boots from them fall apart after 6 months… hopefully these stand the test of time. $90 for these is a great price.
