Good quality system at a decent price
After buying and returning several sub-$100 wireless systems, I bought the Boya WM6 wireless system to use with my Canon XA-30 camcorder primarily for it's portability. Both the body pack and receiver use two AA batteries. The range is very good although I rarely ever shoot video at a distance of more than about 40 feet. Signal to noise is acceptable with no strange artifacts or hum. Although it has 48 digitally selectable channels, I don't think I've ever encountered a situation where interference was an issue using channel 1. The body pack accepts either a line level device or microphone. The supplied lavaliere mic is decent quality but if desired, a different mic with a 3.5mm plug can be used. The body pack and receiver are physically the same size and seem solidly built. Batteries can be changed quickly without removing the body pack or receiver from the cold-shoe mount by a clever cartridge battery holder that slides out from the side. Overall, I was just looking for a decent quality wireless system that got the job done at a good price and after using this wireless mic for about 6 months now, I can say I'm very pleased with my purchase. In fact, I'm buying another to be able to record two person interviews.

NOPE...
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. NOT GOOD FOR OUTDOOR USE WHAT SO EVER!!! Lavs completely failed during a very important event and audio was unusable. Wasted a long time trying to make them work before moving on to plan C. WILL NOT be relying on these ever again. Spend the extra money for reliable systems. Mic Clips are junky they broke very quickly and need replaced. Mic quality is decent, not good for long rang but does ok for interviews and short range filming indoors; Minor Static. I have to use a denoiser in adobe premiere to get random buzzes out that pop up on indoor shoots. Here is a short clip of outdoor audio issues, filmed less than 8 feet away from subject...

NOT FOR OUTDOOR USE AT ALL!!!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. DO NOT USE OUTDOORS AT ALL. I used this to produce a video for our baseball league and we spent more time trying to make these work than actual filming. I'm now editing the video and I'm sicken by how much static and interference there was. Most shots we had to record three or four times just to get the audio right and in some shots I couldn't move at all. We tested ALL 48 channels onsite and only found 3 channels that had no static with channel 30 being the cleanest channel. We couldn't go more than 20' before the signal was horrible and if any part of my body got in between the transmitter and receiver the sound went south. I've attached a small video demonstrating just now bad it was. These shots were only 15' to 20' away from the camera with the receiver in the shoe horn on top and the antenna pointing towards me. I have 3 hours of video and only 20 minutes of good video with decent audio. For indoor use this wireless works well AS LONG AS IT'S DIRECT LINE OF SITE. Once something gets in between the receiver and transmitter, the signal goes bad. My suggestion is to either rent a good wireless system or spend the extra money and get a good wireless system. I'm now wishing I spent the $75 and rented a good wireless mic instead of buying this unit. I plan on cleaning up the units and sending them back to Amazon next week.

This lapel mic works excellent even while outdoors
This lapel mic works excellent even while outdoors, with the wind blowing and approximately 30 feet from the person I am interviewing! I highly recommend this pair!!

Poor quality even considering the price
Poor quality even considering the price, it's not a high end piece of equipment. If you only need a wireless mic for a short range (20-40 feet line of sight only), it seems to work just fine. Be sure to lower the volume on both the transmitter and the receiver to avoid a lot of background noise. In this short range the recorder picked up voices clearly. Did not transmit and receive hardly at all walking throughout the house, even one room over. While outside it worked fine up to about 40-50 ft. then it started cutting out. Best to try something else in this price range or go up in price for better quality. Item was returned immediately.
