Nice mid-range tablet.
I was looking for a device that gave me more viewable screen area than my Samsung Galaxy S8 phone, but was a bit more convenient to use than my laptop, and could be used to play DVD's. Saw this one, price was acceptable, and online reviews tended toward positive. So...ordered this, a case, and a portable DVD player. Shipping was mildly worrisome, but was able to determine shipping delay was most likely due to inclement weather. Arrived in good shape, battery was at 52% charge, so I plugged it in and configured it to use local WiFi. Other than normal "teething pains" (screen can be unusually sensitive at times, and almost unresponsive at others, tends to change based on whether my hands are wet or not) it does everything I ask of it. Plays DVD's (still working on getting past DRM) well, works nicely on social media. Only real issue is that a stock wall charger will take over 4 hours to bring the battery to full charge, and even with a 15 watt fast charger it's reported to take upwards of 3 hours to charge. That said, it'll handle 6+ hours of use on battery power alone, so a minor complaint at most. Overall, well pleased with the unit.

Quality for your money
Time to lay down some IT wisdom:For those who are disappointed in not being able to use the SD card for your apps, do the following:Settings -> About Tablet -> Software informationClick repeatedly on "Build version" until you see a message that says, "You are now a developer". Go to Developer Options and scroll down until you see "Force allow apps on external." Turn it on. This forces your Android system to allow your apps to be installed or moved to your SD card. Now, review time:Thus far, I have had no issues with the tablet. Actually writing this review on it. The screen is responsive. Battery life is pretty good. System setup was like any other Android device I have had (simple and straightforward). The screen can be a little too sensitive at times when it comes to typing (that annoying blue line connecting letters). I have had no issues thus far with system slow downs, unexpected app closures, or random restarts.I had upgraded to this tablet from the regular Galaxy Tab A, which was having issues simply letting me get past the lock screen, as well as giving random app failures and a small host of other issues,Overall, the Galaxy Tab A7 has been a good purchase for me. A decent upgrade in quality, reliability, and performance.

Love it!
I have now had this tablet almost 3 years, love it as much today as I did when I first got! I use it every single day and not 1 single complaint. A quality product that I would purchase again!

Not the most expensive or best tablet but good overall.
The colors are vibrant. It has a great sound, louder than my previous tablet. It was easy to set up. I tweaked it by taking off a lot of stuff I neither wanted nor use.I also had to uncheck the ability to rotate when turned. I allow each program to change position as needed. It was just too sensitive to movement. Also, the frame around the visual screen is small and holding it often makes the tablet think you are touching the screen when you're not. So you have to keep fingers and palms a certain way to hold it. I also had to put a rubber grip on the back because it is slick like glass.Battery is supposed to last all day but lasts about one third of that time.

Samsung for the win!!!
This was a replacement for my wife's old Samsung Tab A 10.1 that had seen better days. The first thing she noticed was the amazing picture and color definition on the screen. The setup was easy with Samsung incorporating the ability to copy all the apps on her phone to the tablet. She believes the battery life is comparable to her old Samsung, but I think it's better considering the amount of apps she now uses. I think this tablet is a great value for the money I spent on it and I hope she gets as many years of work and enjoyment out of this new tablet as she did its predecessor!

Great value
I did a little soul searching to see if I really needed this item. I am glad I made the purchase. Fast delivery. Great tablet. I am still setting up with my favorites. This tablet uses the same charger cord as my phone, so there is one less cord I have to carry around. Still too early to comment on battery life. Screen is great. I also purchased the screen protector and cover (from different companies).. I purchased the bundled
