I have not used my cake scrappers but they look very sturdy, strong and won’t bend at all. Good weight and easy to use.

I have been decorating cakes for 30 years and never used a steel cake smoother. I have no idea what took me so long to try one. This shortens the icing of the cake considerably. The patterned edges add interest and also allow you to make colored stripes on your cake sides. They are stainless so won’t rust and store flat so they take up little space in the drawer.
