UPDATE: pugs elevated ALT liver enzymes back in normal range after 2 months of using Chewable Liver & Kidney and SamE. Went from 295 ALT to 78. Plus we're started Prescription Ursodiol.Our pug was diagnosed with elevated ALT liver enzymes a couple years ago. First year ultrasound showed no concerns. Recently had a second ultrasound and it showed small amounts of Sludge in her Gallbladder. We've been feeder her a Prescription fresh food Hepatic Diet along with Denamarin Advanced Tablets. Recently Denamarin Advanced medium tablets were out of stocked. Couldn't find the Veterinarian only Advanced Denamarin. In my panic I started researching and found Coco and Luna. These two supplements so far has been amazing and very similar ingredients. Every morning I had to force down the Denamarin Advanced Tablets (yes they gave chewable but our pug, Luna would not eat) followed by a syringe of water. I tried everything to hide the small tablet but somehow she knew it was hidden. This was such a stressful event every single morning for the both of us with honestly little return on her ALT levels. I will never go back after finding Coco & Luna supplements. I get the Chewable Liver & Kidney plus the Chewable SAMe and give half in the morning and the other half before her dinner. I'm amazed that I just put in her dish and she eats like it's a great snack. No more stressful mornings and big savings in $$. Now I will know more if this is helping her levels or not the end of this month and will report back.Thank you Coco & Luna!!!

This was recommended by our vet to help protect our pups kidneys because of some medication he was on. He took it with easy. So because this is a supplement and we had a dog pass away from kidney failure, we give this to both of our dogs daily. The take it like a treat and it has had no side affects on their health or poop. The texture seems like a hard chewable vitamin. We have this on auto ship, so the value for the cost is good. It’s beef liver flavored, so it has a funky smell but it’s nothing to deter the dogs from taking this. Good quality and no complaints.

These are not soft chews. If your dog has few teeth, he/she won't be able to eat them. I had to smash them with a hammer. Once I did that, my dog loved the taste. I only received it yesterday, so only one dose so far.

I have purchased quite a bit of this product for my epileptic dog that gets pancreatitis. This bottle that I just received was a bad batch. It does not expire until next year. The product was very dusty with a lot of broken pieces. It always has a white cotton to keep it from shifting and breaking. The cotton was a yellowish color from so much dust and broken pieces. I have never seen it like this before. I have always been happy with this product, but I got a bad bunch.

When she was about 6 years old my Rhodesian Ridgeback was diagnosed with elevated liver enzymes. My veterinarian recommended milk thistle. I started her on this product and her liver was normal in a couple of months, and at 8 years old she is still doing fine . I highly recommend this product.

I bought this, along with 3 other supplements in an attempt to alleviate my furbaby Skyes Cushing symptoms. After almost a week, my dog was able to sleep through the night. Prior, She was waking up 4-5 times nightly to relieve her bladder outside. 3 weeks after treating she only woke us up 2-3 times per week. Her extreme thirst has slightly subsided but she still has her belly. She does not like the taste which makes it a bit difficult to administer. It's dosed by a dogs weight, mine needs 3 daily. Along with the others supplements I give for the same condition, my furbaby gets 11 tabs daily. Her thirst is not nearly as bad as it once was a few months ago. The excessive eating is also somewhat better. Of course, she needs to be supervised while feeding my 2 other furbabies or she'll gladly eat her food and finish the others food as well. Approximately 85% of the time, her hard distended belly shows signs of improvement. She doesn't look like she's ready to burst. I still need to hide her supplemental tablets, but it's worth every ounce of the inconvenience because it's helping her. I've kept her on this supplement along with "SAMeLQ 225" and am noticing results. I also supplement with 5mg Melatonin. A new & surprising symptom took place 6 days ago. Our girl yelped and started to have a seizure at 10:30am. She had another that evening at 11:30pm. We we're very fearful and devastated. After extensively researching other possiblities, we changed her diet & put her on prescription Gabapentin along with continuing use of the other 2 supplements. We thank our lucky stars that with this new regimen her seizures have suddenly ceased. Skye was diagnosed with Cushings one year ago.

My dog loves the taste and eats them right out of my hand. He takes them to counteract the effects of prednisone that he takes every day and they're cheaper than the prescription liver supplement from the vet. However, they are so powdery that half the pills are already broken and lots of powder in the bottle. We won't know until next year on his physical to see if they're really helping keep his liver and kidney number stable.
