You can go and check the "doctorsbest.com" website and find in the section "Q&A" the answer to your question = Hydrolyzed Bovine Collagen. There is no other detail but this explains why the bottle label says "not suitable to vegetarians". As per knowing which kind of bovine and if this collagen is organic or not, I couldn't find any answer to this question.....Hope that this will help.

Will hot beverages ( coffee or tea) hurt collagen's effectiveness???

I found out about collagen and gelatin from Dr. David Williams newsletter Alternatives for Sept. 2012. He says that "Collagen is the primary protein in connective tissue found in tendons, ligaments, bone, cartilage, and skin." It's also found in fascia, he says. Given that one way to get collagen for oneself is to boil animal parts with these elements to get the broth, and that bouillon cubes are another source, I would guess that you'd be perfectly safe to add them to hot beverages and soups. Gelatin is the cooked form, but avoid products intended for things like jello, as they have additional ingredients. In trying to research collagen, there are various types, but 1, 2, and 3 are the ones mostly found in humans. Search online for "collagen types".
