Just replace that part, no worries.
It's an excellent replacement so far. The original one I had with GPS some how had cracked plastic and would not old to the arm. Simply popped it out and replaced with this. It clings to the old arm no problem. I haven't tried in the car yet but looks like it's going to do the trick.

Good product, horrible shipping
Product is good. Shipping was ridiculous. It didn't even ship until the day I was supposed to receive it, 5 days after I ordered it...so 14 days total to receive product from order date to receive date. If you don't need it any time soon then you'll be fine with it.

Easy fix for a sagging mount.
I have a 5 year old Garmin Dezl and it started sagging. The old mount wasn’t broken but I figured I’d try and new one and it solved the droop. Now it stays where I aim it.
