Great trail running shoe!
I've run about 120 miles in these since purchasing them. All my running has been in the mountain preserves around Phoenix. The terrain I run in is pretty rocky, so I appreciate the rock plate and the great grip. I wear Feetures ultralight cushioned socks with them, and the sock fit and shoe fit are both super comfortable. I really don't have any complaints. I bought these along with the Ultrafly 3, which I wear when I run on the road... those are great shoes too. I was a Saucony guy since I started running 17 years ago , but think I'll stick with Topo Athletic going forward.Update 2/26/23: I ran my first 50K in these yesterday (Cooper Corridor in Superior, Arizona) . We ran through a bit of everything: water crossings, very rocky terrain, sand, Sonoran Desert single track, even a little bit of asphalt. The shoes handled well. They got completely submerged in water a few times, but dried quickly. I have about 220 miles in them now. My only complaint, and this has happened with other shoes in the past, is that the heel collar on the medial side of the left shoe is coming apart... up near the laces. This is probably caused by my gait... I guess I rub my feet together during the gait cycle. Earlier today, I put some Shoe Goo over where the heel collar is coming apart... we'll see how well that fixes the shoe.

Well made trail runner but tight for wide toe box
Seems tight for a wide toe box shoe. It is a well made trail runner.

Comfortable and good traction. Good for wide feet!
My first time wearing these shoes was on a 4 mile hike up and down a very tall hill with some pretty rocky terrain. I never slipped even one time. The top of the show is a fairly thin material that allowed the shoe to breath, but also allowed a little morning dew to penetrate. I wouldn't wear these in overly wet conditions, but overall, I am quite pleased with this purchase. Also, the wide toe box is awesome! My feet never felt squished while going up or down the terrain.

Fabric seems falls apart in 2 months
I am new to wide foot shoes, but have been generally lucky to choosing the right shoe, until this one.I have tried Altra shoes (which have zero drop) and bought these (5mm drop) because they have the Vibram outsoles which should last longer. I got my pair September 2023, worn them every day for half the time. I typically change to other shoes when I'm not out in rough terrain. The vibram has shown noticeable signs of wear already, nothing drastic.I'm most disappointed in the fabric used for the upper, it is unforgiving and tight. I've had to lace differently compared to Altra shoes and found out that it has already separated from the outsoles on the sides in both shoes. Which is something I would never expect from a 100 U$D plus shoe. This will by first and last pair of Topo Shoes.

Go with the Mt Racer 2s
This shoe fits as described and is comfortable on the feet, with excellent grip as others have mentioned. I bought these for a grand canyon trip coming up and was going to replace the Mt. Racer 2s. These shoes are not as rugged and not as supportive as the Mt. Racers. I am sending these back in favor of a new pair of Mt. Racer 2s. The Mt. Racer 2 is an awesome shoe and I should not have even thought of replacing them with this model.
