Mi aspettavo un prodotto di qualità, considerando che l'ho comprato per mio figlio dislessico che sogna di poter leggere i libri cartacei. Beh, non ti da nessun piacere di lettura dal momento in cui circa 30% dei simboli non li riconosce (confonde la i con la L, con il numero 1, la v con la y ecc) e spessissimo, nel leggere quello che si sta scansionando, salta direttamente 2-3 parole anche scansionate correttamente (spuntano sullo schermo, ma vengono saltate nella lettura). Di conseguenza non si può leggere un libro scorrevolmente. Bisogna ritornare sempre indietro riscansionando, o risalire con il cursore all'inizio della frase e farla rileggere al lettore. Tutte queste operazioni appaiono abbastanza facili per me perché sono un normolettore, riesco facilmente a risalire alla frase da riscansionare e agli errori commessi dalla penna. Ma non è per niente facile per un ragazzo dislessico. Avevo tante speranze, ma è una grandissima delusione. Quando si incomincia a progettare un aiuto per questi ragazzi da qualcuno che capisca veramente quali siano le loro difficoltà e che certi errori di progettazione annullano la gran parte del beneficio?..Tengo la penna solo per rendere autonomo mio figlio almeno nella lettura delle consegne nei compiti. Ci volevano 250 euro per poter leggere, con il prodotto, non più di tre righi consecutivi..... Mah.

I bought this reader pen for my 16 year old niece who thinks it is wonderful. She has dyslexia and has particular difficulties with reading comprehension, having the pen read the words aloud for her has meant she no longer has to re-read information four or five times before she has understood its content. She loved the fact the pen is small and light and can be slipped into her pocket. She uses her own headphones when in class and most people are not aware she uses one. She also can understand the more natural voice, as it does not have the 'Stephen Hawking' style voice.This pen has made such a difference to the amount of time she spends on her homework, and as she is studying for A Levels at the moment and has quite a bit of reading to do this can only be good. The other marvellous thing about this pen, is that it can be used for examinations like A Levels and does not require access arrangements. Unfortunately, the school did not understand the benefits of this pen, so I bought it for her.

Mir hat das Produkt zwar gut gefallen, aber für den von mir gewünschte Verwendung war es nicht leider geeigne!!. Ich hatte es für meinen Großvater gedacht, dessen Sehkraft eingeschränkt ist. Leider waren die Knöpfe so klein und durch das (formschöne) Disign nicht für ihn zu erkennen geschweige denn zu ertasten, so dass schon das Einschalten ein Problem darstellte. Es wäre überdies eine Griffmulde sinnvoll, um den Griff besser zu fixieren und das Führen zu erleichtern. Des weiteren war die lauteste Lautstärke für ihn nicht hörbar. Ein normaler Kopfhörer mit Hörgeräten konnte nicht so laut eingestellt werden, dass er verstehen konnte, was gesagt wurde.Fazit: Das Gerät ist tatsächlich NUR für Kunden mit Leseschwäche, aber nicht für Kunden mit Sehschwäche geeignet. Schade! Vielleicht könnte ein geändertes Design den Kundenkreis, um die immer größer werdende Zahl der Rentner mit Sehschwäche erweitert werden.

The reading pen is well designed and reliable. My school SEN department uses(I am a Deputy Headteacher who has supported both SEN department s and exams for many years). Reading pens can be very useful for students completing GCSEs.....but to use them in the exams they have to be their usual way of working.... Most school I know use this pen. If you are thinking about a different pen, I would talk to your school to see what they use....you do not want your child to get confidence knocked in an exam with an unfamiliar writing pen. Little things can really throw a student in an exam.

Mio figlio ha circa 9 anni ed e' dislessico.ha difficoltà' serie nella lettura.con questa penna e' riuscito ad ottenere una certa autonomia.lo consiglio vivamente. Anche la logopedista e' rimasta entusiasta del prodotto.nell'uso consiglio di inclinarla leggermente (non tenerla in maniera verticale).ha qualche difficolta' nel leggere i caratteri colorati diversamente(verdi, rossi, ecc) ma quelli scritti in nero ha una affidabilita' del 95%.siamo soddisfatti veramente.ATTENZIONE!!! andate sul sito e vedete qual e' l'ultimo firmware aggiornato, poiche' in commercio ci sono alcune penne con la versione vecchia non aggiornabile, mentre l'ultima ha introdotto alcuni miglioramenti, quindi verificate sempre la versione e se non e' l'ultima rimandatela indietro.un abbraccio e forzaaaaa...che ce la faremo
