Urnex Cafiza Espresso Machine Cleaning Tablets - 100 Tablets - Professional Espresso Machine Cleaner Barista Use

We have an old Keurig that worked but was noisy. I learned the noise was likely due to a clogged water line. We used filters for years and even used other cleaners but nothing cleaned like this product. The stuff that came out was dark and disgusting. I used a total of 9 tablets and cleaned for an hour. I’d drop 2 tablets into hot water, stir to dissolve, pour into reservoir and run the coffeemaker. I’d continue this process until the water was crystal clear. It took awhile but it fixed the noise problem. I ran several clean water runs through the machine afterwards to make sure there was no chemical smell or taste. My old machine works great again!

Used this for cleaning Jura z10. Works well and is much more affordable than the Jura products.

I bought my Breville espresso machine a few years back, and I have been using filtered water for the most part. I tend to wait until the clean lights turn on before taking action, and I've noticed that can take a while. Once I ran out of the 2 cleaning tabs that came with the machine, I started to worry. I read up online, and someone recommended these particular tablets.They're not too expensive, and they come with a good amount. 60 cleanings should last me a while. I haven't noticed a change in the way the espresso tastes after cleaning from when I first got the machine, so I would guess that's a good thing. All in all, for the money these tablets aren't bad.

So much cheaper than the breville branded cleaner but work so much better. The container has multipurpose layers of moisture protection so the tablets are very secure even when kept with the other cleaning supplies.Perfect size tablet if not bigger and as someone who worked at Starbucks this is exactly what we used to clean the large commercial machines.

These make cleaning easy but they have such a toxic smell that make them hard to use

I purchased these tablets to flush out and descale my 1930s chrome percolator, which was in dire need of a cleaning. Cafiza products may be designed for sophisticated espresso machines, but I figured they would work just as well on coffee urns and other brewing apparatuses. I was right.First, I removed the grounds basket and filter assembly before filling the reservoir with water, replaced the lid and let it heat to boiling. I then lifted the lid again and dropped two Cafiza tablets into the water, which sunk to the bottom and began to dissolve. Within minutes, the water turned a milky white, and I could see a beer-like lacing coat the reservoir wall with film. After 15 more minutes, I unplugged the unit and allowed it to soak for 30 minutes.After draining and rinsing thoroughly, and repeating the process with the basket assembly, I made my first post-cleaning batch of coffee- and it was *AMAZING.* For one thing, you could smell the subtleties of the roast more clearly. It was an intense, fresh coffee smell, the kind you associate equally with greasy diners and bougie coffeehouses.My first cup was delicious. The brew, and it's lovely oils, poured forth, untainted by the taste of cooked-on coffee, metal, or decades of mineral deposits that had plagued my urn since I bought it..
