How do you set up this adapter for Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit. The driver that comes with cd does not work with Ubuntu 14.04. it gives error during sudo make

You may have to install the drivers on old Linux kernels. However, it ran out of the box for me on Manjaro running kernel 4.14. When I plugged it into my Linux Mint 19 (Linux kernel 4.15) the Network Manager did not see it. It did show on a lsusb so I started to look for the drivers. While getting ready to install them, it just started working. It also ran straight away on a very old, very small Acer running Peppermint 9, also with Linux Kernel 19. It connects at 150 mbs every-time on every machine and Linux. I plan to buy the dual band version of this. I am very happy with Edimax.

This supports AC 5GHz but only 2.4Ghz for Wireless N? I have an Asus RT-N56U wireless N router that supports 5 Ghz. Will this pick up my 5Ghz N signal

I own the ASUS RT-AC66U wireless router that it works fine with. Since my router is dual signal I really don't know if it is working on the 2.4 or 5 Ghz. I would assume it would work since it is a dual band adapter.
