Works better then the laptop connection did
over all, I was getting tons of drops with the internal laptop connection. Using the edimax, I have no dropped connection to my extension of the same brand of wireless. I have the router as well. All is working great for over 7 years.

Excellent Wi-Fi Replacement for a Laptop
Easy to install and setup and worked right out of the box! Simple device, great signal, and no complaints with how well it works.The only downside is how long it is compared to other devices, but I think that is a worthy tradeoff for something that just works. Will consider getting another one if and when the time comes.

Not intended for laptops on the go
Had a few of these for a macbook, drivers weren't well maintained. Not much for tech support. Very delicate if on laptop, break pretty easily.
