EK Success Paper Shapers Large Swirl Flourish Punch

I love it. It came right on time and was packed good.

First off, I love this punch. It's hard to find something like this in the paper craft world without resorting to die-cuts and an expensive machine. The mechanism is nice and solid, it produces a beautiful image and the punch comes from a well-known scrapbooking company. The downside: A delicate pattern requires perfect engineering. Within a month of buying this, I could no longer use it. For some reason, the punching edges on one of the curves no longer meet up quite right, resulting in mangled paper rather than a crisp die-cut. I have tried using aluminum foil, wax paper and lubricant on the punch to improve its performance but to no avail. About 1/4 of the image still comes out chewed rather than cut. For those still considering this punch, I would strongly suggest using it only on thinner papers. Mine seemed to start failing shortly after using it on a thin piece of cardstock.
