Powerful one serving blender
Powerful personal size blender for smoothies. I’ve blended celery stalks, lemon wedges and all sorts of fresh fruit into drinks.Does not leak. Does not chop ice.You must pour the mix into your own glass or container.

Does what it's supposed to do
I've been using this blender for a few days now, and I'm impressed with how well it works for such a small blender. I haven't had any issues with things getting stuck or not breaking down enough. I have several other Dash appliances that I love, which is why I trusted this one would be just as good.My only complaint is that I wish it was a little larger, especially the mouth. I can barely get a scoop of protein powder in the opening without it spilling over the sides. I'm actually considering getting a funnel to make filling it easier.I think a slightly wider, 12-oz. size would have been perfect. But that's a me problem! I knew exactly what I was getting when I ordered it; I just didn't realize that I would want it to be bigger until after I used it. Still giving it 5 stars, because it does the job it was made for. I do like how sleek and cute it is!

Easy to use, looks good and works well but not powerful
Easy to use, looks good and works well but not powerful. It takes a while to blend my smoothie because of the small size of the container. I have to open a few times and spoon out the contents at the bottom. I also have to shake a few times.

BUY IT!
I wish I could give this item more stars! GREAT value for the price. The blend is complete and smooth. Easy to set up and easy to clean - so simple to use, especially great for people with limited time.

Get this, not blendjet!!
I purchased this after buying the Hamilton beach mini blender and blendjet (threw that one in the trash after a months use!) This thing is what all the others claim to be! I love this it's compact so I can leave it out without a big footprint or put in a drawer. It's perfect for a smoothie for one or blending up small recipes that call for a blender. It's really powerful and I like that you control the blend by pushing the bottle down. Please forgive my rant about the blend jet! I'd say that was one of my worst purchases ever!! Because it's cordless I was constantly running out of battery and would need to charge mid blend (there's no battery life indicator) the dreaded red light would constantly come on indicating it's stuck and it wasn't powerful at all (forget about blending ice!) One 15 second cycle was never enough to do a job, more like 3-4 cycles. It was just a hot mess of a machine! The Hamilton beach just isn't as strong. I'm keeping that one as a backup. If you don't need to be cordless (I never felt the need to blend anything on my way to pick up my kids from school!) Go with this Dash model over all the others!

Hard to Clean and Stopped working
Pros:It's a cute litte blender. I like the little suction cups on the bottom because they really grip the counter and keep the blender upright and in place.I like that it plugs in to an electrical outlet. I have too many rechargeable electronics, plus the rechargeable lights and appliances I've purchased really don't seem to hold a charge for very long; so I was - and am - reluctant to try a rechargeable blender.I like the color. It's small; so it doesn’t take up the space of a traditional blender.Being so much smaller, it's lighter and easier to handle. It was affordable. The power is adequate. It will pulverize ice cubes and fruit suspended in liquid with no problem. It's fast.Cons:The jar proved to really be too small for a meal-sized smoothie.Using it was, for me, a messy operation. For instance, I could never make a shake, pour some out into a glass, add another ice cube or two, screw the blade assembly back on and reblend without there being a mess, with liquid dripping down into the blender housing, passing through drip holes and puddling on the counter.Wiping off the jar lip or rinsing the blade assembly didn't help much. The blender itself is very difficult to clean, and it cannot be submerged in water. I tried dampened Q-tips, a special tiny sponge, a small brush - but nothing really worked very well to clean the inside part. It is, of course, impssible to clean the closed part of the housing, through which countless shakes have dripped. Now, after about 6 months of daily use, it has stopped working.I was careful with it, not to run it longer than about 10 seconds at a time since the instructions clearly state that the motor will burn out if forced to run more than a few seconds at a time.So I am wondering if there is a design flaw and liquid did get into the motor. The little motor cannot be gotten wet, yet liquid may have, inevitably, seeped from the housing down the rotor shaft, since liquid dripped into the housing with every use. I wondered if I was tightening the rotor onto the jar too tight or too loose, but I never could seem to get it right. There were always drips. Conclusion: The blender is very cute - and I was able to make about 200 shakes with it during the time it worked, but really, in retrospect, it was more trouble than it was worth, and it hasn't proved durable.
