These are the best plastic jars to can jams and preserves and then put in your freezer until you are ready to eat them. I have used these plastic Ball jars for several years. I first got them from Walmart and they no longer carry them. My son reminded me that I should check with Amazon and low and behold they had them. I bought enough so that I will be in good shape for quite some time. If you have not tried them do so and I don't believe you will be disappointed.

I love these and ordered more. I’m trying to stop buying so much plastic ziplock bags for freezing/storing food. The plastic for these cups is #5 which is the better plastic to use. I read the reviews and saw that several people claim the lids don’t fit properly or pop off when freezing. OK. That is easy to explain as liquids expand during the freezing process (think of ice cubes). Just carefully position what you are freezing so it doesn’t spill. Check back after frozen and apply lid. Fits GREAT and I use them frequently!

There are many freezer containers available on the market, but I trust BALL products for my home canning so I purchased these to freeze homemade ice cream. The size is perfect for me to freeze individual sizes or enough ice cream for 2. The lids fit on well and remove well. I hand wash them but they are OK to wash in the TOP rack of my dishwasher. I received Ball Plastic Pint Freezer Jars with Snap-on lids, 16-Oz (2-count). I had ordered and received previously, and re-ordered the same. However, what I received was a bit different in that it was not round with green lid, as pictured, like a glass, but rather it was square and black lid. Also, the green jars indicate microwave and freezer safe while these new black ones do not say this. I won't return them as they are very useful and I haven't used the previous ones in a microwave anyway. In spite of previous comments, I am satisfied with this product. I have also previously ordered the small version, twice, and am very happy with them.

The Ball Freezer container is the only type that I use to freeze my garden tomatoes and salsa made from my garden tomatoes . I prefer the 16 oz. size but they also make an 8 oz. size that is easier to find. The lids are a flexible plastic that does not come off easily in the freezer like some brands. They are sold in a 2 pack and are a little more expensive but in my opinion, they are well worth the extra money.

I was hoping these containers were a little larger. The lid's rubber seal makes it harder to open. It needs a lip so you don't have to put your nails/fingers under the rubber to remove the lid. I will still use them for some kind of storage. I like that they are BPA free.

I use these to chill or freeze protein shakes. I’ve used them over and over and they work great!The lids are sturdy for me too. One cup was knocked over after I put it in the freezer. I panicked because of the potential mess I had to cleanup. NOPE! The lid remained strong and saved the day for me.
