Great ESL learning tool
I've bought quite a few flashcards online, and these are by far my favorite. They're sturdy, good quality paper, and the images are easy to understand. They're big enough that students can work in pairs quizzing each other without any visual impairment (smaller ones are not as good for this) and they also work for individual learning. I've had a few students ask where they can buy their own decks. These are a wonderful addition to a low level ESL classroom.

Works well for newcomers
I use it all the time with newcomer students. Great way to introduce most common verbs. Helps them create sentences and engage in conversation.

Versatile
I bought these cards initially to use for speech therapy but since I homeschool, I will also be using them for sentence building exercises and story building. These cards lend themselves to many activities. The images are fantastic.

Working in progress
My daughter is still learning with these and she is getting better at the words. The pictures help, but getting her to use the words is what I’m looking for with these. All in time.

Bad choice for adult refugee English learners.
I bought these to use with an adult English Language Learner from Eritrea. Both box covers featured a black subject in the photograph, which I considered an advantage for my student, but there were hardly any black people on the photographs inside. I found this misleading, as well as less-than-ideal for my student. Also, while the photographs are high quality, in the second set especially there were many photos depicting scenes (eg, a hang glider!) absolutely irrelevant to an adult refugee, English Language Learner. NOT a good purchase for the use I intended. There was a useful insert and website for using cards like these for language games -- at least I can use those ideas.
