Apartment Life Saver!
If you’re bringing home a furry friend and you live in a smaller space or further away from grass whether it be in the suburbs or on the 20th floor, this pee pad will change YOUR LIFE! Our puppy has his own little patch of grass right outside our patio door. We live on the second floor of our apartment complex in Utah and we have a 6 month old baby. So between the weather and our baby, getting a puppy who REALLY needs to go potty on a leash, baby safely in pack and play, poop bags ready to go, accidents are bound to happen ALOT. Knowing all this, I planned ahead of time and had this ready to go before we even brought him home and I think because that’s how we started, it’s making this process a HUGE success so INVEST in it before you even bring puppy home! At first all he wanted to do was lay on it which was in almost every review I read, so when he had his first pee accident, I used a puppy pee pad to absorb it and I set it out on his grass pad so every time I took him out, he’d smell his pee. I took him out frequently and as soon as he went potty, I had treats ready to go. Lots of praise and trips and before you know it, he’s headed toward being fully potty trained in an apartment! The urine pad that comes with this absorbs and I mean ABSORBES! It held 4 days worth of (puppy sized piddles) without so much as a DROP on the tray! I’m going to buy a second one so we can use it while the other is being washed. Get this product because of that pee pad, it’s a game changer, I PROMISE! If you buy one without that absorbent pad the urine will pool up and you’ll be scrubbing the tray so keep that in mind, trust me, you’ll be glad you did. CLEAN UP THE POOP IMMEDIATELY! The grass is plastic and EASY to clean so take advantage of it and don’t let it get nasty! I have a trash can outside, and poop bags and unscented baby wipes ready to go and, of course, puppy treats for immediate positive reinforcement! Because the grass is easy to clean, all you have to do is bag up the poop, wipe any smudges off the grass, tie it up, throw it in the trash can and BAM, you’re potty training apartment style and your neighbors won’t smell a thing and you don’t have to worry about leaving your precious littles alone in the apartment on the second floor so your puppy can potty, or tote them down with puppy in time to make it. If you maintain the grass pad by wiping off the poop, it’ll make hosing it off a lot easier. (I just use the shower and then Clorox the shower when I’m done.) The pad is a decently large size without overwhelming your space and your dog won’t take forever to *find a spot* 😂. We have a golden retriever and he was 8 weeks old when we brought him home so because we were training him from the beginning, he’ll be a pro and he’ll still have plenty of room to go potty when he’s full grown. (We also keep pee pads around our home for accidents and because they’re scented to attract and we used ONLY ONE to get him started on the turf he caught on fairly quickly and tries his best to make it to the pad. If he uses the pee pads in the house, I DO NOT consider it an accident and I praise him and give him treats for using it. Even if his aim was a little off but he was still trying. Pee pads are our friends and I want him to understand that it’s better to use those if he can’t make it outside than to just puddle on the floor!!! Accidents DO happen, so have spot cleaner ready to go, maybe pick up your rugs if that’s an option. Poop bags, poop bags and more poop bags! Use plastic grocery sacks if you have to and keep it all in your trash outside and toss it on trash day 😉. But we would not be able to enjoy our new little puppy NEARLY as much if it weren’t for the convenience this adds to our home. Obviously you still need to take your pup out for fresh air, park and play time, a nice stroll, this pee pad isn’t meant to facilitate keeping your dog locked up in an apartment. If you’re going to bring a furry friend home to a small apartment without a yard, PLEASE remember that they need the exercise. Again, this pad isn’t an excuse to keep them cooped up 😉.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Great For My Needs
I bought this because my dog was recently diagnosed with CHF.. She is now on a diuretic which is causing her to urinate a lot more often. I am not always at home so needed something that would help her. I am so far very pleased with this. It was packaged well and arrived in perfect condition. Setup is so simple, less than two minutes and it was done. The bottom plastic part is well made and is strong enough that it doesn't bend when lifting or moving it. I also like the size, this is larger than most other brands. After you set the pan where you want it, you insert the charcoal filter, the directions show you which side goes up. Then you put the artificial turf on top, simple. The turf is well made, durable and is not hard , felt good on my hands so is good for your pet's paws too. I was worried my dog would not use it, but about 40 minutes after putting it down, in front of the patio doors, she used it. I've been using it now for over a month and it has been a blessing to have. I take it outside and hose it off every day, my preference. It looks as good as new and it doesn't smell after it is used. I would recommend this for anyone who has a pet that needs to urinate a lot and has no way of getting outside. So much better than laying pads down all over and it contains the urine.

Indoor pet potty win
My shihtzu loved this! It was easy clean up. The size was perfect for her to sniff and scratch around. Good quality. Kept odors at a minimum. Great for potty training or apartments. Works very well.

Fake grass becomes a danger to dogs as it disintegrates overtime
I purchased two of these and really regret it. The fake grass disintegrates into white powder and long strings that your dog could ingest and be killed by. Dogs ingesting long strings like this have had bowel obstructions because of it so it was a constant concern to watch and be snipping all of the strings. They were disgusting to wash. Overall, it was a really gross solution to my situation. I was happy to throw them away when I found some potty pads that were machine, washable, and very durable without any of the dangers that this fake grass had. Do not recommend.

There are pros and cons
I purchased this item because I no longer wanted my new pup to use the bathroom outdoors, due to all the germs and diseases from other dogs. The pros were, my pup was able to identify the artificial grass as if it was real grass. The cons were, you cannot fully wash the artificial grass therefore it continues to smell like urine (I do not like this). Although you are able to wash the absorbent pad underneath, it too continues to smell like urine. I trashed the grass and the pad. I now only utilize the tray. After testing my pup first, I replaced the artificial grass with disposable pads (balck.gray) and It WORKED!!!. Another con, I wasted money but I had to give it a try. For my next pup, I will definitely only purchase the black tray.

Great for house training our puppy
We live in an elevated home so this worked great in house training by putting it on the back porch especially for those 3 am potty breaks. I placed disposable potty pad on top of the included pad. Made clean up a breeze.
