Our local grocery store no longer has whole nutmeg so I resorted to Amazon. I'd never heard of this brand before and it wasn't the cheapest one out there - but I chose it because of the glass bottle, Climate Friendly Pledge status and the fact that it is an organically grown product. As soon as I opened the sealed bottle, I could smell how fragrant and fresh the nutmeg is. I've been using it in a variety of fall recipes (pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin mousse, pasta with sage cream sauce... as well as a little ground on top of my morning chai... yum!) It definitely has plenty of great fresh nutmeg flavor. Very happy with this purchase!

Wow! This nutmeg tastes great and with any type of fine grinder, you've got a new taste to add to a multitude of foods. I went to this because we are "clean eating" and I thought about all of the spices that were in my spice rack and couldn't confirm what chemicals were included with the non-organic spices. My family was very surprised that the freshly ground, organic, nutmeg has a completely wonderful and different taste than the conventional spice I used for decades. I'll never go back and will re-order this product from now on.
