Q: Does it have auto shut off

It actually does have auto shutoff. Idk how other people’s dont have it. Ive had mine for about 4 years and still works like a charm. And ive dropped it a couple of times. Although I dont use it it as much as I used to 2 years ago.

Q: Will this be compatible in countries that have 220V?

Do not buy this my daughter has gone through 2 units in six months. After second warranty you can't turn it in again. The unit just stops heating out of blue. Check the Internet. It happens to everyone. Fhi will not back units bought from Amazon as well. Run

Q: Is this better than the Babyliss? I have thin fine hair. However I use a CHI now & do NOT like it. I have heard good things about FHI. Advice anyone?

I have really curly, thick hair and I love it. I would say for thin fine hair it may be too effective. It takes out volume.
