The best 3D cinematic experience I ever had
This is an incredible book. Okay, with that outta the way here we go.Watched the film 3 times. Would go more but my wife would go nuts.So it's up to China and Japan to help this awesome movie get a deserved sequel. At the time of writing it's looking good with $65,000,000 made in China on the weekend.Over here in UK we are just above $10,000,000 which is not bad compared to other countries.Needs to make between 350-450 million dollars to profit and earn a sequel. Never have I willed the people of the world to go see a movie but this one is too special to be ignored.Go see it if you haven't already and if you have, go again! Support a movie that has a 94% audience score on "ROTTEN" Tomatoes!

"..AWESOME BOOK.."
Alita battle angel is probably one of the most stunning and original Sci-Fi's to come along in a few years and the book is equally as beautiful with 232 pages in a nice hard cover, the inside hard cover has a nice design to it too as well as the wrap around sleeve, all the pages have great colour concept art for the character Alita plus every other aspect of the movie, other human characters, set pieces, vehicles, all cyborg characters etc, well presented and mixed in with information about the making of the movie. This is a must for fans of the movie and the amazing Alita live action that Robert Rodriguez has brought to the screen.

Fascinating book a must buy for Alita Fans
Seen it 5 times now and love it and never ever get bored, I ought the Making of Alita hard back book too it's fabulous with great photos and info, I've also bought the soundtrack on cd which should be arriving tomorrow,? The thing for me is that the story is just perfection and has heart, I've watched the video Manga on utube and the film follows it very well and with improvements like finding the berserker body in the URM wreckage is Awsome, I am waiting for the Japanese and Chinese viewing figures and expecting them to be really high as I think in my gut they are really going to love this version especially as it's Manga and brought to life so Brilliantly. I've see Aquaman to and really loved it but I will not watch it again, unlike Alita which has captured my heart and imagination like no other film has ever done, congratulations to Cameron, Landau and Rodriguez and especially to Rosa Salazar for her exceptional emotional performance. I am gradually getting more confident that the public reviews will be enough for a sequel

Better than the movie
As movie tie-ins go, this is among the largest hardback books I’ve seen since the Blade Runner 2049 book. It is big, very nicely designed and made, and makes a good attempt at covering all the visual aspects of the movie. It begins with 42 pages about Alita – her origins, design and development, and her armour and weapons. It gives almost as much space to every other main character, though the content becomes as repetitive as the character designs as we progress into the various motorball players and other cannon-fodder characters.Back on Alita’s design, we get surprisingly little detail about her mechanical design, which would essential to ensuring that her movements are natural, and the mechanisms making those moves are convincing. Compare this with the books about Alien, Jurassic Park, and Peter Jackson’s King Kong for example, which explain much about the skeletal structures, the musculature, skin, and so on.Relatively little is devoted to set design, with just a couple of pages for each key set. For example, there are just two concept drawings for the wrecked Urm warship exterior. Some of the failings of the movie are evident right here in this book. Once you get past the stunning design of Alita, the rest is surprisingly derivative. It’s more than just a nod to classics. On set and character design, there are obvious takes on Blade Runner, the darker parts of Star Wars, and Alien. The various androids and biomechanical creatures are redolent of things we saw in AI, cobbled together with whacky toy robots and stuff from Transformer and Spiderman movies. The utility vehicles are straight out of both Blade Runner movies. It’s just not very original thinking. I feel bad in slating such a massive endeavour for unoriginality. I’m a creative visual person myself. I know how difficult it is to create something new. Making Alita was obviously a huge undertaking, and a really like the epic look and feel of it, but it did crash at the box office, and there are reasons for that.

Great book but delivery took ages then arrived damaged
I think that this is a great book with great visuals page after page. I do have many of this type of 'art of the movie' books and this is up there with the best. It helped to continue my keen interest for the film, after seeing it in the conema and has a lot of sketches, artwork and imagery from the movie and behind the concepts. I also bought the Alita Battle Angel - Dr. Io's Journal, which I recommend as well, if you are a fan of the film.I would have normally given this 5 stars, but my experience with it through Amazon has been very dissapointing.I placed my order way before it was released and was then told it wasn't being released on said day. The delivery took ages, even though I am a Prime Amazon Member, then when it arrived it was damaged, having glue down the page sides preventing me opening it without it ripping or causing more damage. I am very dissapointed, especially as I am having to wait, what is looking like another month for a replacement. Amazon gave me several days to get it back to them, which seemed a cheek as well. If this was the norm, for Amazon to be supplying customers books, from what seems, by individual order from overseas, then I would go elsewhere to buy it, but as it can be returned 'free of charge', this does help.... I just need to wait 2 months for a clean copy, which will be me waiting for the book for over 3 months from my inital pre release order, not good.
