My Staple
This book put me on the map as a classical piano player when I was 7 yrs old, Im an old lady now and it was great to purchase it again to loosen up my fingers and bring back memories

Organized approach
This is a pretty good piano course. It certainly a lot better than Bastian or Faber in my opinion. Those courses seem like a lot of fluff and that much substance.

My favorite piano method,
I have used all the piano methods for my 20 + students. I like this one best because of the challenges and the quality of the tunes. Harmony right away. No long periods of horizontal music with minute little advances. The very bright and physically adept student is happy with this - and it makes them feel like they are really making music - not just playing baby tunes. I especially like it for 8-12 year olds. These kids don't need the drawings and the big notes and can get down to the business of learning for learning's sake. I like the no-nonsense approach. I find it hard to locate this method in local stores - so order from Amazon. I hope they do not take it off the market - my favorite for the right students. Also a great supplement for adult methods with the chord approach - which get boring. Adults need some variations and I find this is a great accompaniment to them.

This series moves too fast for young-ish beginners.
I typically use the Level 3 (and up) books in this series after my students finish Faber level 5. The upper-level books have a good mix of standard teaching repertoire and other pieces, plus my students like to work towards the goal of finishing a book. I recently ordered the Levels 1 and 2 books and found that they move way too fast for the vast majority of beginners, though. I'm not sure if I'll use these books as standard method books with any of my students but I guess they'll make a good supplement for other methods.

Michael Aaron books are great. I review them as superior every time I buy them. Used to get them at a local music store ( where I prefer to shop) But they no longer stock them since many teachers/students seem to prefer a trendier video or "you tube" approach to teaching piano. But I still like to teach every student as an individual, using high quality teaching materials in an environment adapted to each student and offering plenty of chances for an interchange on questions and personalized information and demonstration that supplements the learning materials. This series of books allows me to do that best.
