Purchased 1/1/17: It is very heavy, so if you are using it for backpacking it might be too much. I do like the capacity display. It can discharge enough amps to charge an iPad, but not while you are using it. The USB to microUSB cable that came with it to charge the device was very short and loose in the microUSB port and would fall out while charging. So a few hours later and no progress :(. Changed it out to another cable I owned and it is very snug.Update 4/21/17: The charging cable has become very loose in the port and will not charge. I replaced with another micro usb cable that I owned and that solved the problem for about two weeks. Now if you get it in there just right and do not disturb it at all it takes ALL day to charge it.

After over a month of daily use, I can review this item with confidence, I love this bank! I had a few banks but this one is THE ONE to own, it was always there when I needed it and unlike my EX, this beautiful thing kept on giving, with very little attention from me, she was always there like a rock, kept my life smooth sailing and worry free, the texture no matter what I did stayed scratch free, just got back from Kentucky for thanksgiving and during the drive, my daughter in-law said that her phone was dead, I handed it to her and maybe an hour later she was shocked that the number on the bank still read 93% yet her phone is fully charged, she was even on it surfing the net! after a day and half in KY I got home and it read 51%!!! used it to keep my hi fidelity playing all day for the party, kept my phone at 100% and my son used it also! just kept on going without me worried about charging it. I just love it, Totally! highly recommended.

I've had this for awhile and only use it once in awhile when I need extended power. It does work and last a good while, however I've encountered some issues with charging it. If you don't have a usb cord that's is super tight it will NOT charge. Even if I had a really nice usb cord it might not charge. I've never ran it to zero so I'm not sure if it's something else not wanting it to charge or what. I've always managed to get it to charge eventually. Its 100% charged right now and working, thus 4 stars. It seems solid and as expected a heavy battery.

Bought this one for my brother and I bought the white one for myself. I really like the digital readout for how much battery life is left. Unit comes 97% charged. I used it to charge my Motorola Droid Maxx immediately. It charged pretty quickly and only used up 20% of the battery. There was plenty left for some other charges. The negative is the heavy weight and large size, but the positives are the digital readout, the increased mAh as compared to my old battery charger that was only 6000 mAh, and the quicker charge. I've dropped mine a couple of times and it still is okay but it seems like the housing comes a little loose a bit because I have to snap it back together. This did come with a short (about a foot) USB to micro-USB cable for Android phones (not for iPhone connectors).

I purchased the Merope in June of 2016. I liked it for the convenience although it is a little heavy. I used it fairly often until about 3 months ago (February of 2017) when I became unable to recharge the devise. I had some charge left and was Abel to charge a couple of my devises. When the charge ran out I could not use it again. I contacted Amazon and their warranty had run out but they put me in touch with Day Deals who sent me the devise. They were very helpful in trying ways to see if it could be charged but everything failed. Because Day Deals had an 18 month warranty, they have sent me another Merope to try. I appreciate their cooperation inmKing sure I was satisfied.

This thing is amazing! For the price I got it, I'm beyond satisfied. It stores so much power that I feel like I can go anywhere without worrying about my phone dying. It charges fast and it's everything you could want with a power bank. The display of how much juice is left provides confidence when I carry it around. It also has two USB ports in case you want to charge a friend's phone and yours at the same time. There is also a built n flashlight; a small bonus. It doesn't seem to drain the battery at all. If you're a college student, I highly recommend this product; it could save your life if something is dying. The only negative critique I have for it is the color and the charging cord. The product doesn't look completely white; it almost has a pinkish tone to it. It doesn't bother me too much, but it has to be added. The cord is probably the most major downside, though only minor. The cord is pretty short, being only a foot, and it doesn't come with its own wall charger. However, you won't be charging it that much since it lasts so long. It's one of my favourite products I have ever bought.

I had such high hopes for this power bank, especially reading the 5 star reviews. When it was part of "Today's Deal" at Amazon, I couldn't resist and so jumped on the deal.Currently I'm using a Motorola Droid Turbo cellphone running on Android 6.0 with a 3900 mah battery. Ever since I've had this battery, the most charges I can get are only 2 1/2 because this Merope power bank dies halfway during the 3rd charge. I can NOT fully charge my phone 3 times. I probably would have still kept this power bank just because I could still charge my cellphone. However, this isn't the worst part of the power bank. The worst part is that I've been charging this power bank for the past 24 hours and it's still only at 29%... ONLY 29% on a full day & night's charge.
