Blew up at first Day of using
To be honest, the cables look nice and tide, everything is good about this product, except it blew up the first day I used it, I had the fan at constant running, and I kept the PC turned on for almost 5 hours without using it, and when I shutted down the PC, it made an explosion sound, I tried many times to switch it back on again but it didn't work. I don't know if it's a manufacturing failure or assembly failure, but I just wanted to share.

Calidad

As advertised, great quality unit with no corners cut!
When you want a quality power supply, Seasonic should be one of your first stops. The good Corsair, NZXT, Fractal, and many other brands are often Seasonic units in disguise (Please note if you own multiple units: sometimes with a different modular cable socket pattern - please keep this in mind as other brands may or may not be electrically compatible with cables not made by the same manufacturer! Units manufactured by Seasonic in the last half-dozen years as far as I know all have the same cabling socket patterns on the modular plugs on the back of the power supply, provided they're sold as a Seasonic and not as another brand).I had a Focus Gold 620 that was almost - but not quite enough - for my workstation here, and as I upgraded it became more and more obvious that I was really pushing the poor thing to the cliff's edge. It never failed, but being modular when I ordered this MONSTER supply, I could just switch the brick itself and be fine (I switched the PCI, CPU, and motherboard cables when I did as they're thicker gauge wire on this better unit vs the 620, be mindful of wire gage when hooking up cables, try and keep the same unit's cables together so you don't mix them up and end up with hot wires or worse).Sorry if this is a disorganized mess of a review, but I hope some of the info is helpful to folks (If it is please mark it as so, if you have a comment or something helpful also feel free to add it in to help others).Seriously, if you want excellence, get this unit, or get a Corsair AX1000~AX1600 unit which is also made by Seasonic (but uses different cables!), or the Fractal units if you don't need one as big wattage. You can't go wrong with these. You *CAN* do one better by going platinum, which is one or two steps up in quality and perfection and two more years of warranty (this is 10, that is 12). However, it's been shown that buying into Platinum units is not worth the extra cost if it's beyond twenty dollars USD as you will no longer recoup the savings. Plus if you get a bigger gold unit, vs a platinum unit that's smaller, your efficiency will be very similar as you'll run closer to the middle output of the unit, if the bigger unit is pushed near 90~100% capacity it will then be notably less efficient than platinum.Best part about buying Seasonic units if you have a few computers, especially if from the same product family, you'll always have cables handy, and if the unlikely event one gives up the ghost and dies, you can just replace the brick itself.Seasonic warranty is also second to none. When I needed it in 2019 a month or two before my five year warranty ran out on an M2 / M12 750w retail unit, they happily returned me a like-brand-new unit in about a weeks time (I am in the boonies in Tennessee so that's pretty good considering it takes at-least a day to 1.5 days to get across the state either way for shipping). There was no argument, I posted a stickie note on the unit of what is wrong and how to reproduce error and had a new unit a week later. No issues at all, in-fact, I believe Seasonic and Noctua have bar-none some of the best customer service ever. No quibble, no hassle, no arguments over this or that, no trying to deny it in the last month, they were there and service was prompt and excellent. If you enjoy having good after-sale service that will be there when you need it the most, this is your company. Thanks Seasonic, and please don't ever change!*Note, most 98% of folks will never need a unit this big, however if you aren't sure what you'll buy in the next 5 years with intel and AMD duking it out for top performance honors, I think power efficiency will be last on their goals and performance pigs will be plentiful in the name of best speed. So it's nice to have some extra juice in reserve, and also helps battle off issues from the third-world-country class power grid we have.Unless you're on a strict budget (use bronze focus units if so), or you have more money than sense, this is a perfect unit ready for anything you might throw at it for years to come.
