Great quality and beautiful wood. This is a heavy duty item. The quality is great and I think it will last a very long time. It is heavy and holds all my knifes in a convenient space. My husband was always fussing that he could never find the right knife, because I used one drawer for my knives. Now he loves this block and says it has made finding the right knife so much easier. I would definitely recommend this item! I simply love it!

I bought this knife block in order to combine a number of favorite individual knives that I've accumulated over the years in one location.My wife and I really like the color of the acacia wood and the function of the block.It's the perfect size to be placed at a 45-degree angle in the corner of our L-shaped kitchen counter.Since I don't use a cleaver, I divided the cleaver slot in this block into two slots, using a fitted sliver of padauk wood, held in place simply by a tight fit, using no glue.It worked out well.I almost bought an even larger block, but after taking careful measurements, I decided that a larger one would stick out too far on our countertop, so I bought an additional much smaller, 8-steak knife block that stores those knives vertically, rather than at an angle, that sits next to this block.The combination worked out perfectly.
