A Bishop's Advice: for Gnostic Mass Ritual Officers Paperback – November 15, 2020

This book is full of great information for novice and ordained clergy in the E.G.C.! My only regret is not buying it sooner. Deacons, this book contains a pronunciation guide for the Saints.

Officiating at a Gnostic Mass of the EGC is daunting, and preparing for it is worse. "A Bishop's Advice" makes that preparation less daunting by going over every step of the ritual in great detail for all the officiants. He gives some history to the Gnostic Mass for background. Although the roles of the Priest and Priestess are well-covered, his book "Fire In The Reed" covers their roles in much greater depth.It is in his treatment of the role of the Deacon where Dionysius Rogers shines. He fills in all the gaps in "stage directions" for the Deacon, whose role is pivotal in the Mass. The office of the Children is also described in derail.Finally, his comments on Liber XV read like a highly detailed script. He explains the whys and wherefores of every verse and its accompanying actions.No one preparing for a role in the Gnostic Mass should be without this book - especially Deacons.
