This is an excellent product, provided you need to move it from vehicle to vehicle, or you can't adhere some sort of mount to your dashboard.The Good:It's dead simple to install, and will install on any car with an air vent.You can move it from car to car, so if you travel and rent cars all the time this would be a good product.Since it doesn't use some sort of adhesive to stick to the dashboard, you don't have to worry about it getting too hot or too cold and the glue failing.The phone sits snugly in the mount.The Bad:Since it attaches with plastic clamp, and they don't want that clamp damaging you air vent, it's not the strongest grip in the world. If you are not careful when you manipulate the phone while it's in the mount, it will fall off.Bottom Line:If you plan on moving this mount from car to car, or you live in a place that gets so hot tape and glue melts, this is an excellent mount. However, if you plan on mounting a phone in just one car, you'd be better off with some sort of mount that adheres to your dashboard.

*UPDATE* I am dropping my review from 3 Stars to 1 Star. The rubber grips have already come off, since I had to practically pry this thing into my vent to get it to stay. However, my biggest reason for changing my review was due to the blasts of emails I received from the manufacturer every day after leaving a non-perfect review for a week straight (count: 6 emails), one of which says, and I quote from the email: "It would be highly appreciated if you could leave us a positive feedback, which will be a great encouragement for us." This was after already leaving feedback. No, Avolare, you do not deserve my 5-star rating, and I would highly discourage you from insisting your customers to leave positive feedback on a negative experience.*Original Review* This mount is decent. I specifically chose this mount because my air vents are inset slightly, so If you need something that will stick out well from your vent, this does the job. My main complaint is that the vent grips on this mount lost their grip within just a week's worth of use, most likely due to the combined weight of the mount and my Droid Turbo 2. I originally started the grip on the 1 setting (not quite as tight of a grip), then within 2 days had to crank it up to the 2 setting (originally looked fully closed, now grips okay). Any major bumps while driving will loosen the grip and cause the mount to pop out. I will add pictures to show shortly.At only $10 it's not a huge waste, but I'll probably look elsewhere to get another one that mounts more securely. If you have a heavy phone, do NOT purchase this mount; save it for the skinny Samsung Galaxys and iPhones.

This works really great and has made my life so much easier because I don't have to hold my phone up or look down to see the GPS on my phone. There are two issues for me:1. This worked great in the summer, when I would only use my A/C for cooling, but in the winter, when you use heat, your phone will get extremely hot if you don't have the ability to turn an individual vent off (My car doesn't and I have a 2016 car, so that function may not be super common).2. The latch the presses onto your vent is pretty secure at first, but loosens with time. Mine probably falls off once a week (unless I unhook it and put it on again.) This isn't that bad, but it has fallen off at inconvenient times.

I had this for 2 months and the GLUE on the vent clip PADDING started wearing so the padding doesn't stay onto the clip itself. I had to squeeze the padding back onto the clip itself....really?? The whole car mount doesn't hold very well onto my vent any more. I've only had this car mount since July 2016...2 months. I was happy for the first month and then disappointment followed every day. I have to readjust it all the time (every few minutes when I'm driving to make sure it doesn't fall off the vent) because the clip doesn't grasp the vent too tightly and the whole piece has fallen (with my phone in it) off the vent quite often. I only have a simple light case that covers the back of my phone so the car mount isn't holding anything heavier than it's made to hold. Very disappointed...!09/29/20016 update:Customer service contacted me about my issue and had given me a full refund for the defective product. The factory is doing an investigation to correct the issue. I upped the rating one star due to the due diligence of the customer service department. However, I can't give more stars because I am still without a car cell phone holder and I am disappointed that the product malfunction after the first month.

Ever get annoyed with juggling your phone for the song you like or the exact coordinates for your GPS, well look no further. This mount surpassed my expectations for quality and ease of use. The mounting bracket securely places itself onto any air vent and provides excellent ergonomics. The holder can even be quite handy for recording car footage on a track or on a twisty road, as it sits above the dash in most vehicles.Overall the holder will accommodate a plethora or devices with and without cases. I strongly recommend this over suction mounts just for the stability and ease of placement.

I was set to give this 5 stars until a couple weeks ago. At that time, I had only had this a few weeks. The pinchers no longer grip my vent tight enough. (Yes, I'm using the tighter grip.) My phone and the holder are constantly coming or falling off. It will hold for a while, but I basically have to reattach it every time I put the phone in it. Not exactly helpful for why I got it.Everything else is great - love the way it holds the phone. Swivel works great. Easy to assemble and figure out, etc., etc. Now, if it would just stay on my vent! Disappointed.
