Great outlet for our remodel! This 20 Amp GFCI is well-built, easy to install, and works perfectly both indoors and outdoors. The LED indicator is a nice touch for peace of mind, and the tamper- and weather-resistant features make it safe and reliable. Comes with the wall plate and screws, so everything you need is included. Solid quality at a good price—highly recommend!

I installed it using the 'top' (i.e., load) lugs instead of the 'bottom' (i.e., power) lugs and it did not work at all. I put in for a refund. I ass - u- me[d] that the power to load lugs were on common node on each side (i.e., the black wire side were internally connected power to load lugs, and the white wire were internally connected power to load lugs). The white wire, and I was using the push in and tighten clamps as opposed to wrapping around the screw and tightening, pulled out of the back of the unit, so it obviously was not properly gripping. I moved the wires from the load side to the power side (the top to the bottom of the unit oriented such that when you look at the front face, the plugs look like little faces) and the unit came to life after switching the main breaker back on. It works like a charm. I'm keeping the return and paying for it for a spare.

The item description says "Used-Mint", while the item is used, as expected, it is not mint condition. The wall plate has some minor scratches and was missing a screw. The outlet had marrs on the ends from a careless previous install, but not noticeable once the plate is installed. Other than that it is in good condition and functions as intended.

It’s a GFCI. It came with pretty good installation instructions that even a novice could have followed, has a UL listing, and functions properly when tested with a GFCI tester. Very satisfied.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Hard to connect the wires to the terminals. After first install, 2 wires slipped out. When power was applied, there was a high-pithed whine. Immediately shut off the power and discovered the loose wires. Checked all the wires again, gave good tugs, and re-istalled. Again a wire pulled out (no power applied this time). After finally getting everything tight and installed, the unit was completely dead. I am not an electrician, but I have install several GFCIs before and dozens of regular outlets and never had issues like this. Replaced with a name brand from Home Depot w/no problems.
