I am trying to stop using products in plastic containers and have been slowly replacing items that I use regularly with more sustainable options. Sadly, I live in a VERY arid and high elevation climate so I don't think I can totally be free of bottled lotions for my whole body. However, this product really surprised me! It has become my go to hand product. I keep one by my bed, one in my purse, one in my desk, one in my work bag. I am constantly grabbing for it when my hands need a little TLC.When I first tried it, I didn't think much of it- I didn't feel like it would really moisturize that well. The first application didn't feel very greasy and my hands absorbed the product really quickly, so I really didn't think it was working. Boy, was I wrong! I had put it on right before bed, replacing my usual nightly hand cream. Next morning my hands felt softer and MORE moisturized than my usual, more expensive cream. I was impressed!The scents are great- I love every one of them. I think the vanilla is my favorite so far, but they're all good. The thing is super easy to use- I just rub it around like I'm washing my hands with bar soap and then rub the product in a little more once I put the bar down. It seems to last a while- not as long as I'd like, but I do use it a lot. My one wish is that the pretty design would last longer on the front, but c'est la vie! It's such a great product anyway.I love the container. I have problems with containers working themselves open in my purse- even child-proof pill bottles open themselves in that cavern. But these stay closed well despite the jostling, and yet are easy to open with lotion-y hands.I'm impressed and am a true convert. I love this stuff!

Moon Valley Organics is one of my favorite companies. I have been buying their products for years, since we first encountered them at Pike Peak marketplace. I got home and tried the lotion bar, and immediately went in search of a way to contact them and buy more. This is not a company which is new to the scene. They do not buy packaged pellets (which are more often parafin. Their products are made with herbs, honey, beeswax from their own farm. It is real, actually what they say it is, sustainably harvested.I was surprised to see them on Amazon. It works well for me because shipping to Hawaii is so expensive I usually order from them once a year and put in a good sized order. Now I can restock as needed.Their lotion bars are a little luxury at a very reasonable price. Their soaps, lip balms, salves and honeys are 2wonderful too (but I do not think they had their entire line up).They are packaged in nice little tins which means you can carry them (well, I do,) and they are nice little gifts. Make sure to get one for yourself. Their products are wonderful, and they are also terrific to support since they are doing good things with their farm, and promoting the welfare of pollinators.I have use their medicinal salves/ balms too, and they are very good. They do not make wild claims but do know their herbs, and promote them for known benefits. This is the first time I have bought their rose geranium bar, and it really smells nice, has just a hint of honey (from their genuine beeswax). I can not say enough good things about their products, and am so very happy to see that they are still around... and as long as I am here, should probably buy another because I can see these selling out, and I do not want to run out.

I love this stuff! My sister recommended the lip balm and I also purchased the body bar. I live in PA where the winter months make my skin extremely dry and flaky. I exfoliated and used lotion but nothing really helped for more than a couple of hours. From October until March I suffered. But when I started using this body bar after a shower it locked in the moisture.And it lasted all day long (except for my hand because of having to wash them repeatedly). Plus it smells great. To say it changed my life is an exaggeration but it certainly improved my winter skin condition significantly.

The smell and feel of this product are great! It feels very moisturizing, and the hydration seems to last long. I use it after my self tanner for a nice moisturized, glowy look. My only complaint is the product size… I wish it was a bit bigger.

I do love that this uses no plastic container. It smells amazing, it's great for my skin. You do have to be careful cause i could see it ruining nice clothes because it does take some time to absorb. Still love it tho!

A couple months later, this is my go-to. I learned that right after a hair wash, I do need something more immediate, so I use the Jergens, but the rest of the time, I use this. All in all, my hands feel less dry, and I need relief less often. I absolutely love it. I do have to wait a little longer for absorption, but that’s an easy adjustment.As for the smell, it disappeared soon after I started using it regularly. It’s not nose-blindness, either, so I think if you just leave the tin open a bit, the smell will dissipate. Will try with my next tin.Old review:I really wanted to like this. I’m 48, have very dry hands, & have used Jergen’s Ultra for decades. I’m flying soon & wanted an alternative.This looks shiny on the skin, but feels waxy. Maybe it works long term, but in the moment of application, there’s no satisfying, hydrating feeling, like water on a hot day.I got the lemon vanilla, and it’s so strong my scent-sensitive son had to move away from me. Nearly an hour later, I can still smell it, so I’m afraid to rub my eyes. My skin also looks shiny still, and feels a little slick, but it’s not greasy and won’t come off on my clothes.
