I saw this black soft lathering soap on YouTube during a facial cleansing to help clear up scarring, blemishes, acne & hyperpigmentation. The soap is great for oily skin especially in the T Zone. It’s good for sensitive skin of which I have. Combination skin or whatever skin you have. This soap is NOT moisturizing it actually drys out the skin but not unbearable chapping dry. You will need a great Toner & moisturizer I recommend E45 cream and I pair it with a tinted sunscreen.There is a method to using this soap b/c it can tingle and cause an irritating sensation. I was nervous b/c it had a light scent. I didn’t want it to irritate my skin. I recommend Wet your face with water as normal or after a facial steam. Then lather the soap, apply to your skin in a circular motion focusing on the target areas. Leave on for 5-7 SECONDS ONLY! Build a tolerance to the soap while avoiding excessive drying out of the skin. Rinse with cool water, Pat dry & use a toner. I have a soothing toner. Next apply your moisturizer I highly recommend E45 Cream place a thin layer all over your face let it sit & absorb. Finally, apply sunscreen.

August 9, 2018: I have severe deep inflamed painful acne with years of hyper pigmentation . I've been going to the dermatologist for years and buying different problems to handle my acne problem. I have done a lot of research about "African Soap", and decided to purchase this item because of the good reviews on Amazon. Today, I received the soap and tested it out on my skin. Hopefully, I will get good results. I took a couple pictures today to compare later on in the future; which, I will post very soon. I am a regular customer that purchased this item with my own money who is trying to find a solution for my skin condition.September 16, 2018: So it been over a month and it does help with acne . My skin is super sensitive and super troubled as you can see, but it definitely helps with acne. It did not cure my acne but did it definitely controls help reduce the size of it. I still have a long way to go and I do use other products . I'm currently working on how to treat my active acne and the discoloration. I will post again on the next 2-3 months to update my process .

I use this twice a day apart of a morning/night routine. I usually do a warm press, wash, cold rinse, pat dry. I was astonished at how SOFT my skin was after. Literally writing this makes me want to wash my face. The smell is earthy, almost herbaceous and overall pleasant. Doesn’t dry out skin nearly as much as any other soap I’ve used but always apply moisturize/sunscreen etc. Pro-tip: AFTER cleansing and drying, you can take a small bit of soap and rub it into your face without rinsing for an light, all-day invisible face masque. Just don’t sweat too much!

This soap smell great, but it leaves lots of black residue when washing. I bought this brand before , but never this type of variety. I think this kind is too messy to use

I ordered this soap for a friend and was not even planning to use it. I was stuck on a road trip without any bodywash and had to try it. That was over a month ago and I haven't used anything else since. I love the smell or should say that it doesn't really smell. It has a pleasant scent, but its not overpowring, you can barely smell it. It lathers very well and my skin feels especially soft after using it. I love it. I tend to be very sensitive in certain areas so I was skeptical to try this soap, but I had absolutely no issues with it. I am ordering some more today!

This soap leaves your skin squeeky clean. It seems like it is more natural and not filled with strange sounding chemicals like some other bar soaps. If you have oily skin, this soap will probably be good for you. If your skin is dry, maybe use it sparingly or only a few times a week as it can be drying. The soap does bleed off it's color a lot and will stain cloth. It's not fancy or perfumy but it cleans well and doesnt leave a film or residue on skin. While I have not noticed any skin lightening or less break outs, I like it and will continue using.
