I was hoping for a more fitted fit to the dress and it was a bit bigger than anticipated. I'm a size 18. TOTALLY OKAY WITH ME! It is SUPER COMFY and so cute! At the party I fell in the dress trying to set up a camera with a timer and the dress rolled with it. I bought a petticoat to go under it and it really made the outfit (was a Clue party). Absolutely loved everything about this dress! Needed something that would come quick and require little to no alteration. True fit. Stretchy (XL). Very easy and elegant.

I bought this for a wedding. It looks like the picture, but in my opinion, the picture looks better than the actual item. It looks cheaply made. The fabric is very stretchy but also thin. The arms are a bit narrow at the opening. None of that is terrible, but the deal breaker for me was the lining. The entire dress is unlined with the exception of the chest area. That would be ok except the lining basically only covers the shoulders and neck area, and stops before the breasts. The effect is that the area around the breasts are lined and a deep pink and the area covering the breasts is thin and sheer. A slip wold not help this because no matter what, the pink lining makes the dress look pinker in only those areas. A black or nude or white slip wont have the same affect. This was very obvious and would not work for a wedding and wedding pictures. My sister opted to keep hers bc it's cute and she can wear a sweater with it. I returned mine.

I normally wear a size 12 - 14 and the Large fit just perfectly. It is made of a stretchy spandex material so it allows give. The skirt has great flare and can be worn with or without a petticoat. If you wear to a party to dance, the skirt twirls like a princess dress. I received many compliments when I wore this dress to a wedding. Not many women wear retro dresses, so this type of dress stands out in a crowd. I have a "pear" shaped body so this fit and flare dress is very flattering. The reason I gave it 3 stars is that upon removing it from its package, the dress had a VERY strong petroleum type odor. I imagined it was due to the dye or imprinting of the red flowers. I threw away the attached care instructions tag, but I think it was made in China. I definitely washed it before wearing it to try to remove the strong odor. I washed it in my washing machine on delicate/hand wash setting and hung to dry on a hanger. The red color did not bleed, thankfully!! And it smelled better. It definitely needing pressing afterwards. I turned the garment inside out to press, misting it with distilled water as I ironed. BEWARE, do NOT press on the right side or with a high setting. The red flower imprints will melt and smear. I tested on the bow (as there is no way to iron on the "wrong" side) and the color smeared as if it was an imprint on a Tshirt. I opted not to press the bow at all.

***Update - I stretched the sleeves out on the end of the ironing board and ironed them. This made the sleeves looser and the whole thing lay better. My daughter wore it to her party and receive tons of compliments. I also noticed that the seam wasn't sewn properly in a couple of places. I'll probably just fix it myself.*** I ordered this dress for my 15 year old daughter. She loves it, I wish it fit a little better. We ordered the light blue and the color is very pretty. The material is very stretchy and she loves how soft and comfortable it is. It is light weight but not so thin that you can see through it. I'm worried about how it will look after washing, especially since it says to steam instead of iron. The fit is just okay. My daughter is a size smaller on top than on bottom and has smaller shoulders so I'm sure the fit has a lot to do with her shape. The sleeves are shorter than we expected and a pretty tight since she has large arms for her size but they are stretchy enough that it's okay. The main issue is that it is a little large through the shoulders and it is causing it to gape in front of the neck but she likes it well enough to overlook it. She is 5'4" and the dress comes a few inches below her knees. I put that the dress "fit as expected" because it was a little small in some places and a little large in others. If you are larger on bottom than top, don't size up unless you have fairly broad shoulders. If you have issues with clothes being too big in the shoulders, it will probably gape a little in the neck area. Overall, it is a very pretty dress especially for the price, she is just hard to fit. We ordered it for my daughter to wear to a themed party and she is very happy with it, so that is what matters! We might try different styles in this brand.
