It’s simple to understand

I bought two of these and fitted them both two months ago. One lasted just six weeks. To make things worse it was actually stuck in the 'ON' position and controlled an outdoor heater, so fairly dangerous and expensive.Don't bother.

This has a red LED that should say when it is ON. However, the front plate is opaque so you can't see the LED through it. That would be OK for, say, a light - but I use it to heat a small tank for a shower. You need to know it's actually on. The noise the relay makes helps, but is very quiet. Also it is very sensitive and easy to press twice. I would guess they used to make it so the led was visible and economised at some stage but left the LED in the circuit. Lazy engineering. I will be returning

Absolutely disappointed in this product, fitted 2 days ago , worked ok for the 2 days !Now don’t work .You have to keep resetting the mains so the time switches work, basically you turn them on and they stay on all the time . Absolutely waste of time and money

Have 4 from another supplier for more than a year. Very reliable, works well. However pressing the button during the timer cycle only pauses the timer does not reset it. So switching off after 25 mins when timer set at 30 mins, jeans next press will only give 5 mins running time. Would be 5 star if could make the timer reset back to start.

The most important thing to realise is that the manufacturer can't anticipate how you expect to use this timer switch and its effectiveness relies on you thinking through cable entry points, mounting points, and seals to prevent moisture getting in. You need some basic DIY plus read the guidance. Once fitted, it worked perfectly (but only just fitted it, hence 4 stars since reliability unknown) and is used outside to deliver a 90-minute burst of pumped circulating water to a water feature
