Q: How stretchy is this. I need to connect 2-1/4 to 1-3/4. It looks really close.

Not very stretchy at all normally. Back when I used it and found out it was too small I boiled it for a bit and was able to stretch it a fair amount. You might have to buy a new hose clamp if you stretch it too much, but mine still held a tight seal as the plastic cooled and shrunk down onto the pipes I was connecting.

Q: Need to connect 2" copper to 1 1/2" sch 80 pvc. will this work?

This was made to connect 1 1/2" pipe size (approx 2" OD as yours) to 2" pipe (approx 2 3/8" OD). Your 2" copper pipe/tube is approx 2 1/8" OD. So, no, it will not work as intended in your application. Tom

Q: Will this work connecting 2" barb to a 1-1/2" barb?

This should work on barbed pipe. You may tighten the bands a little more than usual

The product did not fit well on one end, but after boiling for like 5-10 minutes that end was pliable enough that it was able to be used. The metal band was too small to be used on that end though and I’ll have to buy another one eventually, but it has been working very well without it and hasn’t allowed any leaks with the use of a sealant on the inside of the product.
