JOHNSON PUMP - SPX FLOW 82024 Wash Down Panel Switch

Q: Just received my new switch. fuse access was taped shut. no fuse included in panel. is this common practice? what size fuse should i use?

Fuse size depends on what the switch is controlling. I'm using the same switch for a Johnson 185 W wash down pump. Using A=P/V (A = 185 Watt / 12 V) the current is 15.4 Amps, so I'll use a 20 Amp fuse. Hope this helps. Cheers from Ash in Australia.

Q: The picture shows a two wat switch, on and off. But the discription says a three way bildge switch, on off and manual. Which is it?

The one in the photo (Johnson part number 823024) is a 2 way switch. It can be wired in series with a float switch but will not have a manual override. Johnson also has a 3 way pump switch that may be what you require. Best Wishes from Ash in Australia.
