Dow Corning-3145 DC Clear, 3OZ Adhesive, Clear

Clear RTV. In date. Delivered in good condition. This is a thick adhesive/sealant RTV, non-acidic, non-corrosive, suitable for use in and around electronic circuitry. It is silicone based, so it can contaminate cleaning equipment and interfere with conformal coating adhesion if used for part bonding on circuit card assemblies. Cannot be painted. Bonds nearly anything to anything else. Flexible bond won't crack. Withstands high temperatures. Great stuff. I always keep 3145 and 3140 (thin RTV coating) in the shop.

Good RTV

Very sticky and thick. Had troubles squeezing it out of the tube. Then the tube split up the middle and was oozing out of the middle. I used it in my Samsung freezer to try to keep the ice maker from freezing up. It did not solve my problem. I believe it had no bearing on the silicone.

I needed a non corrosive RTV for electronic applications and 3145 was what I used before I retired from the trade.

Worked very well. I used it to adhere silicone rubber piece to plexiglass. But you need to wait 24 hours for it to fully cure.

Use this for everything outside and Inside

Although this is a superlative product, it is extremely thick and is packaged in a tube so flimsy that it's barely more than aluminum foil. The tube popped apart on first use, wasting the unused portion of the product.

I used this adhesive to glue items together. Once it is dried, the bond is stronger than the super glue.
