I love all the rope lights from ORANGE TREE TRADE. This was an excellent purchase. We initially used them to light up our house at night for the holidays. This color is more like a scarlet red; very bright and lights up the night! My family loves them so much, I still leave them on to light up our house at night. They have held up very well; no outages, even when it rains.

Bright but directional
The LEDs are very bright, but also *very* directional. I wanted to use them for decorating outside trees for Christmas, but had to use them in a different position as the lights would not consistently position themselves for best appearance. Using them in a linear path outline worked fine.

DOA - 2 Feet won't light up
Roughly 2 feet of the 18 won't light up. I'm sending this item back and going to purchase again in the hopes of receiving an item that is not defective. Sadness

BEAUTIFUL LIGHTS-however
THE ONLY THING I HAVE TO SAY IS THAT THEY COME TOO ""ROLLED UP"" SO YOU HAVE TO SPENT TIME TO STRAIGHTEN THEM OUT IF YOU WANT A ""LINE OF LIGHTS""..kind of conusing of how to ""connect them together"" BUT OVER ALL/// A LITTLE BIT PRICEY BUT OK.

Works as advertised. Nothing more, nothing less. The clips for mounting are a bit flimsy, hence the 4 stars. Other than that, they are fine.
