4 lbs. Weight Pattern & Cloth/Fabric Weight

I was directed to this method of placing sewing patterns in a sewing class and initially tried the little cloth weights but once I used the big iron weight I'll never go back to pins or the small weights again. Once you place that big weight down on your pattern it's not going anywhere and it leaves no pin marks in your fabric or tears in your pattern. Super idea.

It's good and heavy to keep tissue and fabric in place.

Perfect! Coated well with no snags!:) Heavy just like I needed. Much better than the little weights you can get at the sewing store.

A good wt. For holding leather down while stitching, I took a star off because the casting seam flash on the inside of the handle was super sharp ( I bled a little!) A dermal or file will fix it but that should have been done by the manufacturer before painting it.

Works great especially since my hand is in a cast.

I ordered three. All three have small bumps, nicks, gouges or paint chips on the bottoms. One had a small burr sticking out that easily ripped a magazine I set it on. One has a casting line directly under the handle that hits my finger joints as I grip the handle, (I'll file this one), the other two were smooth under the handle. The size and weight is great and once smoothed - which is quite easy to do - they will last your lifetime.Not a lot of choices out there; shipping iron is expensive relative to the cost of the item so at this price I'll live with it. But if you've ever seen chrome-plated smooth-edged Japanese style "paperweights" you will suffer a severe case of pattern weight envy (see photo). Enjoy!
