Makes good coffee!
I wanted to upgrade my basic little Mr coffee maker and found this model recommended on a couple sites.. have been using it almost daily since I got it.Pros: Takes up minimal space and looks nice on countertopThe 1-4 cup setting is good for when you don't want to make a big potHas 3 temperature settings - I prefer HOT coffee so I always pick the highest optionUses a replaceable water filter. I always use filtered water anyway when making coffee but figure it can't hurt!Has a descaling cleaning option that I haven't used yet but definitely plan to.Cons: Not a big deal but all the parts are plastic. Which I guess is pretty much all home coffee makers, this was just my first "upgraded" coffee machine and I was hoping with the stainless metal outside look it would have some stainless parts inside.Hard to see when you look down into the reservoir where you pour the water, because it's all black inside. My old coffee maker was white so you could see if there were hard water stains or god forbid a bug had crawled inside!

Love this coffee maker.
Plug it in and use it! Very nice looking on my counter. I use a paper filter as it is easier to clean, getting the grounds out. Amazon has them maybe even local grocery stores. I love everything about this coffee maker. I’ve had good luck with my Kurig maker but the pods are very expensive compared to a 12 cup maker using grounds.A+ for quality, A+ water flow, A+ capacity, A+auto shut off feature, A+ compact sizeand best of all A+ for the taste!!!Now let’s see if it lasts. If a problem creeps up, I’ll update my review.

Great coffee maker, carafe may break!
I works great, except the carafe shattered and cut my thumb wide open. Replacement for that carafe is almost as expensive as the whole coffee maker! I was cleaning the carafe after finishing the coffee and it broke. be careful when cleaning.

Great Coffee Maker at a Wonderful Price
We needed to replace a 14 year old 5 cup coffee maker and also needed to upgrade to a larger one since our college-aged daughter is now drinking coffee too. We looked at several articles rating the best coffee makers on the market and this one consistently won the best value award. We got it on sale so the value is even better. I definitely wanted a cone filter coffee maker and this one has that. It is very easy and intuitive to use. I like the reusable metal filter. So far, no problems. The carafe doesn't drip when we pour it like our old one did. I really like the feature where you can adjust the warming plate. I prefer it on low so that it's drinkable right away.

Braun refused to take any responsibility for my complaints.
Hello, we purchased this coffee maker in July 2024 and had continuous problems for the last 4 months. The issue we experienced involved cleaning the machine, being forced to clean the machine, the cleaning button coming on without prompting and constant delays in actually making coffee. The machine continually went into cleaning mode by itself while we awaited coffee. We were forced to clean this machine over five times in 4 months of very little usage. We contacted customer support once by phone and a gentleman at Braun helped us reset the clean button, however the problem continued and when we attempted to contact Braun again, we reached Ronnie at Braun customer support for a refund by email. We received only a generic cleaning response and he did not address any of our concerns regarding a solution, just acted like it never happened. This type of unaccountability is what is causing us to respond now on Amazon and leaves no room to continue to work with this company moving forward. This machine seems to be the overall pick at Amazon, however, in our experience, this coffeemaker was the most troublesome coffee maker we ever had in over five decades, often leaving us with hot, cleaning water instead of coffee. Most importantly, we had no recourse for refund, replacement or return and we have been essentially ignored regarding any request for a solution. In closing, over $109.00 was spent for a coffee maker that has not worked properly since purchase and only used for four months and instead of showing us the courtesy of any solution, Ronnie at Braun acted like our complaint never happened in his email response. We have tossed this coffee maker in the garbage due to it being more hassle than it is worth and purchased a new coffeemaker from a company that will actually stand behind their products. Respectfully, stay away from Braun until they hire new leadership. Thanks, Eric

Should be up to daily use for the long term
I previously had a Bonavita. I've had this about two weeks and like it. Simple. Seems to work. Materials are good. It is a little noisier. I decided to try the gold cone instead of paper. It lets a little fine silt through. That may have to do with the grind. Someone mentions stirring the coffee if you use the cone. The power cord is 30" which lets me pull it out clear of the cabinets instead of steaming them. I wish the clock had a battery. I don't use the timer. I like to unplug my brewer when not in use like the directions say. Set the clock daily? Seriously, with a brewer with a timer? Maybe they're all like that with the legalese.
