worth it! 3200xl is a good size for one!
I cook for one in batches of two or three, as I have limited freezer space. (I don't bake often, though, so please keep that in mind!) When I'm short on time and energy, I'm limited in what I can prepare and there's some stuff I just can't be bothered with if I have to prepare by hand. I did a lot of research on different food processors and I decided I'd rather make a good investment than get something that I'd eventually outgrow, or would itself be an added pain to the cooking process.I have a small (but not tiny) kitchen and this sits fine and compact on the countertop all the time. It works perfectly and is a pleasure to use as it's powerful and quick. It's easy and reassuring to see when the locking mechanism is in place as you can look at the spring on the handle. The instructions are clear, though it wasn't immediately apparent that they were in the hardback recipe book. I love the different attachments (that was one of the reasons I selected this processor over others); they do take up some cupboard space but it's worth it to not have to grate/slice cheese or vegetables by hand. It's also not especially loud for a food processor. The parts are easy to put together and wash by hand, and as we have no dishwasher that's no problem either. I usually have to clean the motor with a damp cloth after use as I find it easy to spill food debris, but that may just be my clumsiness + usage in a small space with limited counter real estate.Overall a very good lifetime investment. I'm glad I shelled out.

Brilliant all round solid machine. Superb Kitchen Aid
I love my Magimix as it does everything I need it to do. Mix cakes and soups, chop and grate vegetables, mix pastry. It pulses salmon and fish to make fishcakes. It can make pate too but not yet tried.A perfect machine that is easy to clean. Highly recommended. The only downside is that I have to return my juice press that came with it as one of the small inbuilt screws at side was broken and the handle does not stay on. Otherwise PERFECT.

It is quality, but at a price
I've had three processors before this and so when you tot up the expense the price may be acceptable. I have to add that the predecessors were like toys compared toa well designed, grown up and practical Magimix processor.I did have concerns that the container for the parts would take up too much space in my cramped kitchen but I have made space. It is also a little chaotic when cleaning the three bowls as its not easy to drain them (no dishwasher) so I tend to dry them straight away. The only criticism I have, so far, is that whisking egg whites takes ages and isn't as effective as a hand-held electric whisk. But generally I am super-happy with the product.

Cooking made simple
Well I've just retired and although I've got a cusinart model 15 months old I always wanted a Magimix I had for a couple of years the mini but it was limited to what it do do.I was a Salesman in Comet for 15 years etcI sold the full size magimix along side other cheaper makes . but this was regarded as king of food processors , but not a rolls Royce but a BMW , Audi , Mercedes Benz etc a much better compliment here .I've use the magimix 3200xl now 3 times in first week approx maybe 4 times making stew , grating cheese ,of course chopping carrots ,onions and potatoes. Plus slicing carrots for stew 4mm blade .This machine is a joy to use and will myself get many years of use etc .The machine is heavy and solidly built , also note large plunger has slots that engage in lid so please be aware as will not work unless plunger has been slid downwards to engage safety mechanism etcDoes grated cheese very well fine grate 2mm blade yes the cheese does sparkle in bowl afterwards .Made in France .The instructions are at beginning of cook book and in colour

Mixed feelings about functionality and ease of operation. Preferred the old model.
Bought this to replace 30year old magimix as the bowl had cracked and replacements aren’t available anymore. All in all it’s still a good machine principally for the power of the motor and the solid feel. However, this newer model has all sorts of attachments and design features which are cumbersome to use and don’t feel like an improvement on the older model IMO. I think it’s because they have tried to make it function as a blender too.I particularly dislike the 3 part funnel. The previous 1 part funnel worked really well and now there are extra bits to fiddle with and clean every time I use it. The previous lid was more straightforward to lock on/off too. Missing my old one already.

Don't need anything else
Well! What can I say but 'WoW'I am a retired chef of 50 years plus and always used magimix professional spec...However this machine is absolutely superb for any ability of cooking ..So easy to use and no worries of the motor burning out if used to instruction I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who uses their kitchen . Thank you Magimix 😊 Alice
