Definitely keep my finger tips from being burnt when using my straightening iron.

The covers fit well. Not as insulated as hoped. Used for protection while doing wood burning. The heat still comes through some.

These are fine but they do not completely stop the heat from penetrating to your fingers and because it is only two sleeves, it’s best to use with a curling wand to hold the hair at the top of the wand. I’m not impressed but it does it’s job.

Bought these to use when canning. I needed something to protect my fingers when holding hot jars while tightening jar lids just after filling. They work great! I can hold onto the jar securely and not have to bother with picking up and putting down pot holders.

Works perfect for me no more burned fingers

I wanted to use these for turning metal skewers on the grill when making kabobs. Technically, they kept my fingers from being burnt one time, so I'll give three stars. But it should be noted the guards melted badly and couldn't be used a second time. They might be fine for curling irons, where you're preventing an accidental touch, but I wouldn't rely on them for intentional touching of a hot surface.
